I meant to publish this a while back, but I got my wisdom teeth out and I would like to save as many people as I can because I was not 100% prepared :')
*Side note though, I did not get stitches, they left the 4 wisdom teeth holes exposed. They told me that this happened because my face is small and they removed 2 from the side of my cheek.
#1 Tip: Wear chap-stick or something for your lips. They get a bit stretched and become dry
2) Make sure that you can have some soft foods prepared: Pudding, applesauce, soups, smoothies, etc. (cold food like ice cream is nice and feels good too)
3) If you are having surgery to get them removed, remember to follow their rules for eating and drinking
4) Wear clothes that you do not mind if they get dirty (from drool, possibly blood, *Vomit)
*For me when after my surgery, the medicine made me very nauseous
5) Get some sort of pillow/headrest so that you are slightly elevated in bed
6) Remember to be cautious when you open your mouth. You do not want to start bleeding again or (if you get stitches) to pop a stitch
7) If you do not get stitches, remember to use your syringe with warm water to rinse out anything (like food)
8) Get comfy! Being sore is not fun if you are bored
Good Luck! I hope that this can kind of help :) It can take some time to recover, but you guys got this! I hope you guys can make an appointment on a Break so that you can rest without stress.
