What Was That? [Maxx x Cody Request]

A/N: So I have been requested by the lovely Katelyn_Vlayd to do a member x member story, and why not do my first one with everyone's fav SIO Ship, Carziger!!💜

[Maxx's POV]

We started our tour about a week ago and it's been great so far, except for one thing. I can't stop thinking about Cody.

Anytime he's around, I get a tingly feeling in my stomach and my face gets heated.

We just got done with a show and on the tour bus.

"Yo, Maxx," Cody called, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah?" I asked, too overly excited.

"Tell me how this sounds," he said. He starts singing a portion of Killer In The Mirror for our next show, and since it's Cody, it sounds amazing.

"Wow, Cody. Great like always," I said putting away my drumsticks.

"Thanks, dude," he replied. Dude. Those words broke my heart. It meant he only saw me as a friend, his best friend, the drummer of his band. He'll never see me as us..

"Heyyyy guys!" Dan said as he hauled in alcohol, slugging his guitar case behind him. I couldn't help but laugh.

"Hey Dan," Cody said.

"So Zach and I are gonna hang with Sydney and Katie. You guys wanna come?" He asked, not knowing it's been about a year since Cody and Shay split. Cody told no one, but me.

"Nah, I think I'll stay here with Maxx. Maybe watch a few movies or shows," he said, eating some grapes from the fridge.

"Okay, we'll be back later," Dan and Zach said as they walked out of the tour bus.

A long silence between Cody and I made the movie feel like it was never going to end.

"Maxx, want a drink?" Cody asked, making his way to the kitchen area of the bus.

"Um yeah. A root beer is fine, thanks," I replied. He nodded and after a few moments, he came back with a root beer and sat down next to me.

We got halfway through the movie and Cody was falling asleep on my shoulder. He's so adorable. My fave was heating, I was blushing.

"Maxx you can't do this. Remember dude. He sees you as nothing more.."

I was on my phone for a bit before I saw a pair of hands bring my phone down. I looked over and saw Cody, his hands on my phone. He looked at me for a sec before crashing his lips onto mine.

"What was that?" I asked, shocked and shaking.

"Maxx, do you want to know the real reason Shay and I split?" He asked me in a low tone, me still being unable to form any words.

"We split because I was in love with you. I thought it was just best friends, but then they got deeper," he said, his blue eyes never leaving mine.

"I love you, Maxx," Cody said, hugging me.

"I-I love you too, Cody," I said, returning the hug.

"Will you be my boyfriend, Maxx Danziger?" Cody asked holding my hands.

I laughed and kissed his cheek. "Of course, Cody."
