i'd been sitting on the couch , watching a movie with zelda as i heard the loud slam of the front door . for a bit of context , dan had gone out with the guys , maxx , unfortunately was stuck as the d . d . , and they got shitfaced . maxx drove them cody and zach home to shay and katie first before dropping dan off to me .

       maxx is such a brave soul for dealing with these men that already act like children —— do we need to bring up the mad libs series ?

   once dan had opened the door , he stumbled his way to our couch , maxx beside him and helped him so he didn't break anything / fall over and break himself . with a slurred laugh , he crashed upon the fabric of the relaxing — and incredible soft — couch , his head resting upon my side as his arms tightly wrapped around my waist , as if something were going to take me away . it was pretty cute . felt bad for maxx though . before he left , he must've felt like the ( biggest ) third - wheel .

        " hey ~ " he spoke with a lopsided smirk , a gentle kiss being pressed against my stomach . his words slurred a little bit , but you couldn't really tell .

        " hey , you . " i said back , allowing a soft giggle to emit lips as a gave zelda a few pets on the head . it was almost like a pillow train — zelda being used as my pillow and me being used as dan's pillow . i honestly couldn't want anything else though . i love them both .

    " you wanna know who the most gooorgeous girl in the world is ? "

               his smirk grew , a smile of my own also forming . i was preparing myself as much as i could for something stupid .

          " who ? " i asked , a brow raising as my eyes glanced down to him . he was so cute .

           " what was the first word i said ~ ? " w i n k .

         " i — wow . i knew you were cheesy or whatever , but i didn't know it was ( that ) bad . it was cute though , so . . i'll give you that . "

       dan gave a flurry of kisses to my stomach , his head nuzzling against my side as he held me tighter .

       " i looooove youuuuu , y / n ! "

         " i love you too , clermont — and i always will . "

      author's note — it was a little rushed , buuuuut i wanted to get something out there for you guys 🥺👉👈 maybe the next chapter will have to do with the boys learning tiktok dances because that's the only productive think i've done during quarantine .
