Chapter 10: Safe Kid & Deten Girl

Marco's P.O.V

I woke up the next morning feeling super tired. Don't know why but today was the day me and Janna were gonna have our "playdate" as Star calls it. I wasn't really excited because Janna gives me the creeps. Sure she's helped out a lot and fought by our side but the girl is just a creep.

I brushed my teeth, combed my hair a bit and went downstairs. I opened the fridge and grabbed milk. As I closed the door I jumped back as I saw Janna. She stood there with a huge grin on her face.

"So you ready for our playdate?"

It's only 7:30 and this girl is already making me wanna go back to sleep.

"I guess. I don't have a choice."

"We are going to have so much fun! Just you and me, a couple of buddies who never seem to get along."

She winks at me walking away to sit at the table. Before I grabbed cereal and poured some into my bowl, she grabs my hand.

"Actually there's no need to do that, I already made breakfast!"

I peek at the side of her and noticed two places of pancakes, eggs and bacon.

"Yours is the one with a smiley face."

I walked over to the table and examined my food. I wasn't sure about eating it knowing she could've put poison in it.

"Is this even edible?"

"Yes why wouldn't it be?"

"Did you poison it?"

Her mouth drops open. "Why would I do that?"

"Because it's happened before?"

"Oh Marco, you're such a nerd."

She walked back to her chair and sat. She patted the seat next to her.

I walked over and dropped down on my chair. I wasn't too sure about my breakfast. The fact that she made it made me even more unsure.

"Hey you know what I'm not hungry but thanks for the breakfast."

As I got up from my chair and grabbed my plate I walked back to the kitchen and peeked over my shoulder. Janna had a sad look on her face. She looked like she was going to cry but kept her tears back. I felt kind of bad now but what was more important? Leaving her sad or cheering her up?

Before Janna got up from her chair I stopped her.

"I'm not going to eat my food, without you." I smiled.

Her face lit up as she hugged me.

"Thanks Marc."

"Hey!"

"Just kidding! Now come sit down."

We sat and ate our breakfast. After we finished we went to the living room and waited for Star to get up.

"Soooo." Janna echoed.

"Soooo."

We both look at each other and burst out laughing.

"What was that?"

"Yeah what was that? That was like so awkward."

"I see we're having fun?"

We both look back to see Star.

"Uhh no what? We totally weren't laughing."

"Oh stop it Marco I heard you two laughing. That's a good start!"
