Time Skip - 1 Year
Cami's POV
Today is mine and KJ's 1 year anniversary. I can't believe it. So much has gone on this year, we've had a couple dumb fights but we always seem to fix them by the end of the day, KJ has been going with me to a therapist once a week to help me cope and I can honestly say I've never been better. Along with the therapist that's there for me KJ has been my rock. He's there at night when I have nightmares, he's there for me when I need comfort, he's been so patient with me in terms of sex. But tonight to celebrate I think I'm finally ready to give him that part of me. I'm ready to give all of myself to him.
KJ's POV
Today is mine and my babygirls' anniversary, I love her so much and I want to do something special for her. I'm going to take her out for dinner and then go back home to have a movie night since that's her favorite thing to do instead of going out. I also have another surprise for her but I have to find a way to get it without anyone knowing. I know just the person to call...
"Hey dad, how are you?"
"Hi son, I'm good what's up?"
"Well I really need a favor, it's important that I get it done by tonight"
"Yeah son, whatever you need"
"Okay so today is mine and Cami's anniversary and I really want to get her something special, which I already got but I need to pick it up but if I go then the paparazzi might get a pic of me and I can't risk anyone finding out before tonight"
"Sure, of course, son, just text me where and when I need to pick it up and I'll drop it off at your apartment in a bit"
"Thanks dad, you're the best!"
I ended the call and texted my dad all the information. Hopefully he gets here before I have to leave for my date with Cami. I'm going to start getting ready and then anxiously wait.
Cami's POV
I finished getting ready & started walking to KJ's apartment. As I was walking down the stairs I saw Tupai, KJ's dad. As soon as he saw me he hid a bag behind his back. I was curious as to why he hid it from me but I didn't want to seem like a nosy person. I gave him a hug and then asked what he was doing here
"I was just um... bringing this thing for KJ that his mom sends, she really wanted him to have it but couldn't come so I brought it!"
"Oh aw how sweet, does he know you were coming?" Tupai sounded like he was nervous or something
"Yeah, I texted him a while ago and I knocked but he still hasn't answered the door"
Just as he finished his sentence the door swung open to reveal a very handsome KJ in a suit, he looked so sexy.
"Hey dad, what a surprise I didn't expect to see you here today," Kage said
I looked at Tupai weirdly, something was going on here
"KJ, I told you I was coming to drop off the special gift your mom sent, don't you remember?" He said holding up the bag
"Ohhh, yeahh I forgot about that, why don't you and Cami come in and I'll go put it away in my room"
We all stepped inside and KJ left to go put his gift away. I asked Tupai about Tessa, Ari, and Timena. We talked for about a minute until KJ came out and interrupted.
"Well son I'm gonna head out, I'll come back tomorrow & congratulations to both of you, have fun tonight" He gave me and KJ a hug and left
"Well, I didn't properly get to say hi to you handsome." I went on my tiptoes and gave KJ a kiss.
"You look absolutely stunning Cams. I'm speechless."
"I love you so much"
"I love you more but right now I'd really love some food so let's get going"
"So what I'm hearing is you love food more than you love me? Well I guess I can cancel the surprise I had for you"
"No, no, no I love you very much, I also love food but you rank first. Plus I want my surprise" He says leaning down to kiss me
I dodge it and run to the door "Sorry but I'm really hungry"
"I'm so gonna get you back for this Camila," He says following me out to the car
When we got to the restaurant everyone was staring at us gasping and aww'ing. Normally it makes me a little uncomfortable having people stare at me but right now my only focus was being with KJ and celebrating such an important thing in our lives. We ordered dinner and ate and talked the whole time. As we got further into the dinner KJ seemed really nervous.
"KJ you seem nervous, what's up?"
"Well it's just I want to give you something but it's something that I don't know what you're reaction is gonna be"
"Just give it to me, whatever it is I'm sure I'll love it"
"Okay... here goes nothing" he whispers under his breath.
