I was mesmerized at the screen, it was so beautiful, so magical how that little thing would form into an actual baby inside of me. KJ was crying actual tears when he saw the screen. He was already so happy to be a dad.
"Okay so as of now everything looks perfect but in 4 weeks I am going to need you to go to a doctor wherever you are to check the first signs of your baby's heartbeat. It's very important so please take care of it. I wish you the best of luck and congratulations to you both. You can get dressed and head home. Take care"

I get dressed and we head home. I was counting the hours for the next 4 weeks. By that time we would be back in Vancouver so I could finally meet with the doctor that is going to be taking care of me throughout my whole pregnancy. The next few days were treasured. At last, it was time to leave to New York for New Years. My parents had promised to go to Vancouver in the next few months to help take care of me when I got further along. Hours later we were in New York in our hotel room. Time for me and Kj to be alone, enjoy each others company. We spent so much time shopping in New York, we already bought several little toys for our baby. We couldn't buy clothes because we didn't know if our baby was going to be a boy or a girl.
