KJ's POV
Thanksgiving is in two days and I've never been more stressed. I had offered to host a Friendsgiving for the cast and the next morning I had to leave early for my flight to New Zealand. Cami and I had made a deal, we were spending Thanksgiving with my family in New Zealand and Christmas with her family in Miami. She was so excited to spend some time with my family, over the time we've been friends and even a couple they've grown to love her. Who could blame them though, she's beautiful, intelligent and kind. Speaking of Cami I have to go get her to go to the store to buy the stuff for Friendsgiving! I grab my keys and wallet and head upstairs
*time skip to store*
"Okay, so what are you getting?" Cami asked
"Well I have all the food stuff ready, I just need utensils and decorations"
"Got it!"
We got all the cute decorations that Cami picked out and headed home to organize everything. As soon as we finished hanging the decorations the doorbell rang, good thing we were ready! We opened it to reveal Cole and Lili. They had gone out shopping before Friendsgiving so I could have the house alone to decorate.
"Hey guys come on in, everyone should be getting here soon"
"Who'd you invite?" Lili said walking unto the apartment
"Well, the people in this room, Madelaine and Travis, Casey, Vanessa, Charles and Ashleigh, Jordan and Drew, Marisol, Madchen, Luke, Skeet, and Mark. I invited the whole Riverdale cast but they couldn't make it."
Soon everyone started showing up, and we all sat down to eat.
"Before we start eating, I just want to make a toast, Thank you to everyone who is here, I'm thankful to everyone in this room and also for the people that couldn't come today. You have all impacted my life by being there for me. You guys are my second family, cheers. Now let's eat haha"
"Happy Friendsgiving to us!" Everyone said
We ate and danced until midnight. Everyone was beyond tired so we called it a night and everyone went home. Only Cami, Lili, Cole, and I were left in the apartment.
"I'm gonna head to sleep, me and Cami have to be up at 4 tomorrow for our flight, you and Lili should sleep in a separate apartment so we don't wake you up"
"Yeah, you're right, we'll go sleep in Lili's apartment, have a great Thanksgiving in New Zealand, text us when you get there"
"Alright, thanks mate"
Cami and I head to bed and fall asleep in each other's arms. It felt as though I had only slept for a second when my alarm rang. I hated waking up early but I longed to see my family. I couldn't believe I hadn't seen my parents in months. I turn around to face Cami but there's no one there. I wake up and knock on the bathroom door but there's no answer. I walk towards the living room and see her in the kitchen cooking something
"Hey babe, what are you doing?"
"Well, I know how much you hate waking up early so I thought I would make it a little easier by making you breakfast before we head for the airport, so go get ready then we'll eat so we could leave"
"Camila Mendes, have I ever told you how much I love you?"
"You have but not enough," she says leaning in for a kiss
I got ready and me and Cami ate. We took an uber to the airport and boarded the plane. I turn to Cami and notice the look of fear on her face.
"It's okay Cami, it's just a flight," I say grabbing her hand
"I know but still, you know I've always hated airplanes, no matter how many times I have to ride in them for work."
"This is the longest I'm going to be on a plane, 18 hours... "
"Just try to get some sleep, I'm going to hold your hand for all 18 hours if that's what you want"
"Wake me up in a couple hours, I don't want to sleep the whole time"
"Got it babygirl" I say giving her a small kiss on the forehead
*5 hours later*
"Cami wake up"
"How much longer?
"13 hours"
"Ughhhh, I want to be there already, I can't feel my legs"
"Don't worry, we'll be there before you know it, let's do something to make time pass"
"Let's binge-watch something on Netflix?"
"Only if it's a horror series"
"Fine"
*13 hours later*
We were finally in New Zealand. I was excited to see my parents but I wanted to get out of the airplane more than anything. We get off the plane and immediately see my parents. I run to them and jump into their arms
"I've missed you guys so much"
"We've all missed you too" my mom responds
"Sorry bro but I think we missed Camila more than you," my sisters say running to Cami
"What a gentleman leaving me all behind KJ! Anyways I've missed you all so much too!" Cami says
"Come on its midnight, we need to go home," my dad said
We got to my house and immediately went to my bedroom to sleep
*time skip: the next day/ same day but later lol*
I wake up to the smell of delicious food and again no Cami. I don't understand how she slips out of my arms without me noticing. I get up and head downstairs to the kitchen. My mom and sisters were there with Cami preparing food for today.
"Happy Thanksgiving, it smells amazing in here"
"Well we want today to be good so we have to have good food!"
"Sounds like a plan aye"
*time skip: dinner time*
As we sit down at the table we begin to pray for all the things we're thankful for. I had one thing 2 things I was thankful for that I wanted to say out loud
"If I may, I want to talk about how thankful I am to be with you guys, my family, this day. Being here with you guys is the best thing ever. I am also very thankful for the beautiful person who accompanied me on this trip. Cami the day I met you I became thankful for everything. You brought light into my life and make me a better person. I'm thankful to be able to call such a gorgeous angel my girlfriend"

Okay so my finals are finally over and I'm on winter break so I plan to be updating more! I'm going on vacation to a surprise place my mom picked out but only for about a week so stay tuned for more regular updates. Also so I had an original point for my story but I realized there are different ways I can get to that point but I don't want to spoil it so I'm going to ask you guys to either comment a 1 or a 2.
