Three weeks later and sure enough, a knock on the front door was heard.
Milliana was nervous, to say the least. And who wouldn't be.
After all, suddenly finding a letter on your front porch and having your three kids and their three cousins moved to a school, that you never knew existed, in another city was not your typical Saturday!
"Don't worry, mom." Amire, her eldest said with a hand on her shoulder and a reassuring smile. Mrs Akabane composed herself a bit before opening the door.
What they were met with was not really what they were expecting.
Standing before them were two men. One of whom was pretend choking the other. Or at least they hoped it was pretend.
The choker, a blonde haired male wearing glasses, had an annoyed 'I'm-so-done-with-your-crap' expression. The one being strangled, a brown haired male in a light brown trench coat, was humming a soft tune with a carefree and cheery expression. Standing nervously beside them was a pale skinned young boy with white hair and purple-yellow eyes. He seemed as nervous and uncomfortable as anyone could be in a situation like this, with a shaking hand raised slightly to supposedly try and stop the two, yet never actually moving to do so.
Once the door was opened, the blonde quickly released the other male, who fell to the floor as a result. Straightening, he fixed his glasses and cleared his throat before speaking.
"Good morning."
...
"Now then. Let us introduced ourselves." the blonde said as he and his companions settled themselves into the seats in the living room. Before them sat Milliana, with the six 'soon to be students' standing behind her chair and scrutinizing the every move of their guests.
"I am Professor Kunikida Doppo. My coworker over hear is-.."
"Osamu Dazai! It's a pleasure!" Dazai introduced himself, interrupting Kunikida. "And might I add that you have a very lovely home~". he said with a wide smile.
The siblings continued to watch them intently though, causing Dazai to sweatdrop.
"As I was saying." Kunikida continued. "I'm aware that all of this is very sudden and is a big change. We'd also like to apologise again for the abruptness. But you have our word that your children will be given the best care and treatment. We and all the other teachers will personally see to their well being." he firmly reassured.
The siblings shared glances amongst themselves before anyone spoke up.
"Not all of us are so young that you need see us as children." Amire spoke up first. "And we are not so weak that you'd have to keep tabs on us every moment of the day. Your assistance is of course very much appreciated. We've been through plenty as a family, so taking care of ourselves and each other will not be a problem in the least." she said, surprising Kunikida a bit.
Dazai, however, simply smiled even wider. "Of course you'll also have to pull your own weight. But not to worry~. You won't be our only new students! After all, Atsushi-kun is also in the same boat as you! He's starting his first semester at the school with you." he said, gesturing to the white haired boy beside him, who flinched once the spotlight had been given to him.
"Really? You are?" Akiesh and Alex said together, giving the nervous boy curious gazes. Who in turn stammered out an introduction.
"M-my n-name is Atsushi Nakajima. I'll be joining you as a new student as well! It's nice to meet you!" he said, a tad bit louder than he thought it'd be. The two cousins smiled non the less and returned his greeting heartily. "It's nice to meet you too, Atsushi-chan!" they replied, to which the nervous boy smiled in return.
