Now"Yeah. I have a feeling we're not gonna be 'best friends' anytime soon." Alex commented.
Currently, he was sprawled on the wooden bleachers that lay on the sidelines of the court. The boards beneath him had broken from the impact of his landing, having been thrown into that position.
Still on the court was an extremely pissed of Akutagawa, and Atsushi who was being held in the air by a long streak of red and black that projected from the other's black coat.
"Now, now! You certainly won't be with that kind of attitude!" Dazai commented, sitting beside the dark haired boy with an amused grin plastered on his lips.
Alex fixed his position and was now sitting upright. He turned to address the brown haired man with an accusing glare.
"You purposely provoked Akutagawa so that he'd get upset and not hold back when sparing with us." Alex accused. Though to himself he added, ("That's if this little fight can even still be deemed as sparing!")
Dazai gasped with a look of mock surprise and hurt at the boy's accusations. "And what makes you think Akutagawa kun would be so displeased with whatever I say that he'd get so upset?" he asked innocently.
Alex sighed before continuing. "To anyone else he would seem to be cold and indifferent, like he was when he'd just arrived. However, his shift in moods was a result of the provoking remark you made before having us pitted against him. His reacting so passionately to your remark gives away the fact that he holds you in a high enough regard to acknowledge your words. And I'm sure that having someone you acknowledge blatantly disregard your ability in favour of another's would piss anyone off. That, and fact that he possibly wouldn't even be here if you weren't the one who requested it." Alex surmised with little effort, as though it was too odvious a fact to even be surprised about.
Rather than getting upset, the older man beamed at the boy. "Well done! You figured all that out from observation?! Impressive!"
Alex observed his pleased expression before sighing and stepping back on to the court. "You act like it's a big deal. To be completely honest, this is fun, but it's not the kind of challenge I'd normally take part in. Still..." He paused as the other two turned their heads in his direction.
With a wide smile, he continued. "I can't say that I like the idea of losing, either."
Irked by the younger boy's seemingly confident aura, Akutagawa turned his attention on Alex. "You seem confident to continue a fight you can't win. Perhaps I should shatter your little prideful look again." he said bitterly.
'Ability: Roshumon!'
Red and black streaks sprouted from the back of his coat as the dark silhouette of a monstrous looking dog's head emerged. It's jaws opened wide, as if ready to snap at anything that came in it's way.
"My ability is without prejudice. It will rip apart anything and everything that stands in it's path." Akutagawa informed, his cold and stoic expression never changing.
"With that said, I advice that you stand anywhere aside from where you are now."
In the instance that he'd finished speaking, the monstrous entity tore threw the floor with it's jaws opened wide. It's destination was directly for Alex!
"Alex!" a frightened Atsushi called as he tried freeing himself from the grasp of his capture, to no avail.
Alex in the meantime stood planted on the spot. This wasn't out of fright, though. Oh not at all!
