*April's pov*

[Saturday morning I wake up to Ethan sitting next to me he's crying I sit up and wrap my arms around him and hold him he says:]

"I don't want to lose you April."

"We won't know anything until we go to the doctor."

"Whatever happens I want you to promise me that you'll fight like hell if it is cancer. Frankie may not talk to you for a while but you know that she loves you."

"Look at me. Ethan Alexander look at me."[Ethan turns to me with tears in his eyes I wipe them away and softly kiss him I whisper:]"Whatever happens I love you and I love our kids. We'll get through it together."

"Yea."

"The kids are still sleeping and they won't be up for another two hours."

"What did you drug them or something?"

"I may have put a teaspoon of Nyquil in their bottles and in Gia's drink."[Ethan kisses me we kiss slowly and passionately we continue to kiss Ethan stands up locks the room door he comes over to me and says:]

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"Agreeing to go on a date with me, marrying me, having our children. You're an amazing mother, wife, friend, and sister. Even if the worst does happen I wouldn't trade a day of our lives that we've spent together. I love you April Nicole Sexton."

"That has got t[Ethan crashes his lips against mine we're fighting for control of the kiss he pulls my hair and starts kissing my neck I laugh an hour later we're up against the wall Ethan and I are both panting when someone knocks on the door I say:]"Just a minute."

"Mom your doctor is on the phone said it's important."

"Give me a minute Francesca."[Ethan and I both finish he goes in the bathroom and gets in the shower I put my robe on and open the door Frankie hands me the phone and says:]

"Derek and I are going on our vacation. We'll be back in August. I'll call every other day and talk to everyone. I love you guys."

"Let me take you to the airport."

"Sure."

[I close the door and answer the phone:]

"Good morning Dr. Baxter."

"Good morning April. I know that you were supposed to come in but I have a surgery and well there's no easy way to say this but you have stage two breast cancer."

[I get out of the shower April is sitting on the floor crying I ask:]

"Baby what is it?"

"I just got off the phone with my doctor."

"What'd she say?"

"I have stage two breast cancer."

"Okay. What else did your doctor say?"

"I kind of just hung up after she said that."

"We can just sit here all day."

"No I told Frankie that I'd take her to the airport. She's going on vacation with Derek they're backpacking through Europe."

"Okay. We don't have to tell them right away. We can wait."

"What kind of cruel punishment is this? First our son dies of cancer and now I have it?! I don't understand."[Ethan tries to hold me I get up and go into the bathroom slamming the door in his face I take a long hot shower when I get out Ethan is getting dressed for work he says:]
