*Paul's POV*

[Five months later December I'm at the firehouse cooking dinner for everyone when I hear heels clicking on the floor the woman says:]

"Hey. Aren't you gonna let me taste that famous sauce?"

"Mel!"

"Hi big brother."

"What are you doing here? Oh it's so good to see you."

"I wanted to tell you in person that Colin and I are getting married!"

"That's great. I'm happy for you guys."

"He wants you to be his best man."

"I'm honored. When is it?"

"We haven't figured that out yet well anyway I gotta jet we still have to tell both parents."

"What? Come on stay the food is almost ready and I want you to meet the people who I work with."

"Hey what's for dinner candidate? I'm starving."

"You're always starving."

"Who's this?"

"This is my little sister Melody. Mel these are the guys."

"Hey. It's great to finally meet you. Paul and your dad have good things to say."

"Your dad is a bit of a firefighter legend."

"Yea and this idiot decided to follow right in his footsteps. I'm telling you now if you get hurt I will fly down here and take care of you myself."

"Oh god. Please don't do that."[I put the lasagna in the oven and check on the vegetables I stir them and turn the eye on low. Melody says:]

"So is there anyone special in your life?"

"No way I'm not doing this with you."

"Hi guys."

"Frankie. Good to see you kiddo."

"Where's Paul?"

"He was just in here."

"Something smells great."[I take my coat off go into the kitchen put my hair in a bun wash my hands and start making dessert I'm singing a song I roll out the dough I ask:]"Hey Otis can you please get me a bag of golden apples and make sure there's no worms in them. You can take my car. Heads up."

[Frankie tosses her keys over her shoulder not looking I catch them and say:]

"Sure. Anything else you need while I'm out?"

"Cinnamon and sugar please. Is anyone gonna tell me who the brunette hottie is?"

"Hi I'm Melody Sullivan soon to be Newsome."

"Francesca Sexton-Choi. It's great to meet you."

"Hey there pretty girl. What are you doing here? I thought you weren't coming back until next Saturday."

"Gia and Serenity have a ballet recital tomorrow night and I promised I'd be there. Well? Are you gonna hug me or not?"

[Paul and Frankie hug for a while he steps back as the bells go off she says:]

"Go be a hero. I'll keep dinner warm for you guys."

"This is my sister Melody. Mel this is Frankie my best friend."[we leave and get to the scene a car is hanging over the water there's a woman screaming for her daughter just as we're starting to get the car stabilized it goes over into the river I take my radio off and jump in after it.]
