Jason had cut any and everyone out of his life, he thought getting rid of people would make him feel at peace, feel stable, that if he gets rid of everything he could get sober. Every minute that would pass, a new thing would remind him of Dick. He was in denial, still he believed Dick would walk through the door yelling 'I'm home!' so he could jump in Dick's arms and hold him forever. Never letting go

Okay Selina, you can do this! How bad could it be? You've helped him through his feelings plenty of times! She says to herself for a boost of confidence, breathes, then knocks on the door, Jason opens the door. Oh my god! Jason? He begins to cry and falls to his knees. Baby it's okay. Momma's here. She speaks rubbing her broken child's back in a circular motion. Let's get you to the couch honey. She helps him up walking him to the couch, laying him down, and turning on the light. She takes a moment to analyze him and the room. Seeing the bags under his eyes, the beard he let grow, the shoulder length hair, then she looks around the room seeing empty pizza boxes laid bare upon one another, the beer bottles all around the apartment, it hurt her, but she had to be there for him.

He sobs more waves of tears. I'm sorry I'm so pathetic.

She hugs him. Stop that! You're not pathetic, and you never will be, you're hurt.

Why can't I just move on? He cries
