Weddings. The first thing you think about it, it sounds amazing. Like a dream come true. In a Cinderella movie with stepsisters and drama. But a happy ever after in the end.
I think weddings are too much. For example, the makeup. As in episode 1, I said that people like white colors now. I see that now, they start whitewashing themselves with white makeup all the way. Especially weddings.
In movies in India or any other movies in Asia, most are white and that makes people think brown color is bad. Which it isn't, it's a color of that is amazing.
In weddings, I heard they put makeup on their legs, arms, and anywhere that shows skin. Because white is beautiful.
But to me in real life, I think the after part, of taking that all off and looking yourself in the mirror. Seeing the before and after is just shocking. And hurtful.
Women should be amazed by their skin color not harass their skin because of it. I usually saw them going into stores and buy white cream just to make their face white.
Not only whiting your skin, but the cream itself has oils that cause acne. And no one likes that.
But the whiting isn't the only problem. It's the whole act. It could be fake or true. But who knows.
Some weddings are just too much, everything is put pressure on the women with a bunch of makeup and dress up. A lot of times there would be a lot of ceremonies or other things till their actual wedding happens.
It makes them worried and self-conscious. But also self-hate. Usually worrying about money, makeup, and clothes. The place they are going to buy or use for their ceremonies or weddings.
A friend told me that "girls usually tend to worry less about the money and more about the beauty in front of people".
I think it's true because the women tend to listen to what people say. So if it's good, it's good. But if they judge, complain, say "I had a better wedding than this", or even say "this wedding sucks, I would do better for my son or daughter". They tend to get upset or they just would lose their excitement they had before hearing that.
Everything has to be perfect in everyone's eyes. And in everyone's ears. But I think, the best way for it to be perfect, if it fits you, if you think it's good, and if it looks great in your own eyes. Because they might be jealous or just hate your family.
No matter what your skin color is, go for that color, no matter how you feel and see things you want your wedding to be. Do it. It's your wedding, no one else's.
