Morgana Pendragon, though she did not know Uther was her father, was terrified. She was having a nightmare as she did every night now, but this time was different, because when she awoke, she awoke to magic. Not just any magic though. Magic that she preformed.

That morning Uther, of course, never even had the thought of her using magic cross his mind. Which looking back was very fortunate. Many of you may be yelling that it was not fortunate because of what became of her. Those of you who say that only know one version of the story. Which is not the version I plan to tell you now.

In her complete an utter fear she went to the one person she could trust, Gaius, and in extension Merlin.

Gaius, being him, turned her away not wishing to help her. Well I wouldn't say her didn't want to more he feared what would happen if he did help her.

But Merlin understood her fear and wished nothing more than to help her. Yet he knew not if he was permitted to help her as he was still so guided by Destiny and her loyal servants the Fates. So he went to the only person that he knew could help him, the Great Dragon, Kilgarah.

"Merlin, the witch must never know who you are only bad things can come from it," the last dragon said after Merlin suggested revealing himself to her.

"How can only bad come from showing she is not alone could that not lead her away from Destiny's path for her," Merlin persisted.

"Destiny cannot be beat, young warlock. Have you not learned that by now."

"I refuse to think I cannot help her. If I don't try then I will forever blame myself, and if it backfires then I will simply have to deal with the consequences. For I know I will not be able to live with myself if I were to not help her."

All Kilgarah could think was that he will regret it in time, but we should all be grateful that for once, the Great Dragon was wrong.

If anyone ever reads this I hope you enjoyed it, and I am sorry for how short it is I hope the upcoming chapters will be longer.
