The flying Paladin

Overview??

So a friend of mine was speaking to me about my stories and was like "Gee *insert name* your stories are great and all, but you should write an overview about them."

And I was kind of like "psh nah. I'm good."

But I've been getting a lot of questions and messages about my writing process and questions and after the tenth one I was like "fuck it."

So. Here we are.

An overview.

So I guess first thing is my writing  process??

So I have really bad insomnia right? So when I have trouble sleeping (like always) I come up with scenarios not my head and imagine them playing out. And then if I like said scenario than I write it out. Then, after I finish writing it I edit it and then if I deem it good enough, I post individual chapters every three to five days.

So another thing I've been asked is advice for other writers. (Why do u want my advice peoples??)

I guess it would probably be...write?

Idk that sounds dumb but like if you wanna write something, then write it. Forget about what other people say and write it. Because writing doesn't have to be for other people. Half the shit I write I will take to my grave.

So yeah. Just go for it.

Okay so lastly I'm gonna talk about The Flying Paladin.

So for this story I was really struggling with where I wanted to go with the plot. I'm gonna share a few plot points that I vetoed at the last second:

1) I was gonna make Lance's kidnapper somehow related to Shiro or Keith.

(I know I know. I was seriously considering making Camilla be like Shiro's older sister that went missing or something. That would've fucked up everything and would take at least eleven chapters and a major character arc to fix right?)

2) I also heavily considered having Lance get captured and tortured and have his wings be ripped off.

(....so yeah. I shit you not that was going to happen. I wrote the chapter and everything. It was really depressing and it made me cry writing it. But it also involved like three major cliffhangers and based off the way you all were reacting to the minor ones I was kind of like "yeah...I like my life so no.")

3) someone had commented something along the lines of "I bet somebody was like 'plot twist! Lance's sister kidnapped him' and it actually happened!"

...Literally what happened.

A friend of mine (same one who told me to write an overview) was like "okay...wingless Lance is good but consider this...Lance's sister did it!"

"....yes."

And then it became the plot that I went with!!

4) Lance McClain died in that blast

(.......self-explanatory)

5) oh and I was high-key ready to make this fic a Hance.
But you all spoke otherwise so it became Shklance.

I'm not disappointed that I wrote another shklance fic. I've never written anything else but Klance and Shklance but it's cool.

I love being repetitive.

So yeah that's kind of all the points that I feel the need to bring up.
