"We can't just go to him and bombard him with such questions. If anything I can say Lucas Piason is a very intelligent man." Donavon said.
"So what now." Roman asked. "He knows where my son is. God knows what he'll do next."
"That's what I wanted to tell you." Dolan interrupted. "I spoke to Donavon and managed to convince him to open up to me a bit more." He paused for a second before finishing. "He doesn't know where Valentino is anymore."
He looked around the different expression on the faces of those with him.
"What!" Roman roared. "What does that mean?" Everyone in the room looked to him for an explanation.
"After Nikki went to him when you were avoiding her he thought that was it. He thought he had won, especially after you were arrested. He called Tanya to bring back Vale but Tanya had something else in mind. He said she said she had to get what he promised her first and since then he couldn't reach her again."
"Aaargh!" Roman punched a hole in the wall. Just the thought of how evil the man in question was did something to his insides. All this trouble just to separate him from his daughter. "I swear I'll kill this man." Roman murmured.
"No you won't." Derrick spoke up. "Well not now at last."
"Something came up." Russo said. He took in a deep breath, hoping what he was about to reveal would not bring about a beast. "Tanya sent a message."
From the corner of his eyes Russo could seel Roman's body stiffen a bit in attention.
"She's ready to make a trade."
"I already told her." Roman came in. "All she has to do is state her price."
Russo licked his lips and nodded. He only wished it was that simple. Pablo, Santino and Dante are the only people apart from Nikki who knew what she wanted.
"She wants Nikki to divorce you." He finally stated and as expected there was shock in the eyes of everyone while Roman's held furry.
"That girl tried it." Roman growled clenching and unclenching his fist. "Does Nikki know of this?" Laura asked. Roman prayed she didn't. He didn't want her anymore disturbed than she already was.
"She does." Was Russo's simple response.
"You shouldn't have to told her anything. I am the leader, the Don." Roman reprimanded.
"And she is the female leader." Russo pointed out right after.
Roman fell silent after that. His cousin was right although he would still prefer to keep certain things from her, especially things like this. Who was he kidding. He was scared of what her choice would be.
"We need to plan something, then, you to speak to Nikki." Laura said to her son. He nodded in response.
He struggled to come up with a plan but seemed kinda hard to do because his mind was everywhere. Monica noticed his distress and helped him out. "Why don't we invite him here for dinner." She insinuated. "Then you wouldn't have to go through all the trouble of trying to make Nikki believe her father is a monster."
"And associated with the Spanish Mafia." Roman added. "And stole Sasha from Dad." Slight anger laced his voice.
A gasp slipped from Laura while Donavon just turned to long time friend. "Really Derrick?"
Derrick shrugged. "Oh come on. In prison story time is a very important thing." He brushed what Donavon was saying off. He felt Roman needed to know the truth in order to make the right decision.
