Roman went up the stairs with the sleeping boy in his arms. The feeling went beyond relief. He still had to finish off Lucas and Maximiliano but at least the due had settled and his family would be back together.

He expected to see Nikki immediately they arrived but that was okay. He didn't put much thought to it as he hoped and expected with the security he left behind, no harm would come to her. He was a bit relieved to know the Spanish couldn't attack the estates.

After bathing Valentino, he tuck him in bed. As he did that, he got a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. He had arrived for about forty five minutes yet Nikki had still not come around and even if she was still Max at him for the stunt he pulled earlier, he knew she would be running to see Valentino, waking him up with showers of kisses.

He pushed away a bit of negativity but just after he kissed Valentino goodnight, Monica and the guards he left Nikki with barged in.

"What is going on?" It was obvious he was tired from the wat his voice came out.

"Nikki. She's not here?" Monica's voice shook was she spoke.

Roman looked from her to the two men beside her then back at her. "What is that supposed to mean?" He spat.

"Don, right after you told us she could come upstairs we...we..." His words trailed off getting to the end as he realised there was no sense in his story.

"I saw..."

Pow! Pow! Two guns sounded simultaneously, hence releasing bullets into the head of the worthless guards. He shot Monica a hard glare before running out of the room. He knew Nikki too well to stay behind and ask if it was all a joke. That was why he had her heavily guarded. Nikki was a "crazy" girl. Most of the times she acted on emotions and due to him knowing this, he asked his men to guard her but that was, apparently, another mistake on his part.

"Track the ring I gave Nikki!" He ordered as soon as he entered the room which held his cousins, uncles, parents and some other men. "Pablo is already on it." Russo informed.

Roman turned to his parents the the elders. "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!!" He bellowed. "ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS MAKE SURE SHE DOESN'T LEAVE THE HOUSE!" The range he allowed seep through his mouth when he spoke was nothing compared to what was bubbling up inside him.

"I know what you're going through but you need to relax and check yourself!" Donavon spat. He was not going to allow his son disrespect he and the other elders, especially in front of the lower ranked men.

Laura on the other hand understood where he was coming from. She tried comforting him. "Romanov calm down."

He held up his hand, silencing her. "If something happens to her I swear that'll be it for you. For all the Italians."

"Don we've got her." Santino barged in. He noticed a bit if tension in the room but ignored it and went back to Pablo.

"Romanov..." Roman heard his mother mention his name but ignored it and followed Santino.

"Where's she?" He wasted no time asking. Russo and Dante had walked in with him. "She left the bracelet you gave her here." Pablo informed.

"I thought you said you had something on her because obvious she's not here." Roman accused Santino. "We thought we did. The bracelet you asked us to track led us here."

Roman licked his lips and inquired. "What about the ring I gave her."

Pablo began tracking it. It was almost impossible not to hear everyone's low, anxious breathing. After about a minute he announced his victory. "It points us to the toy shop."

Roman stood back and raised a brow. "The toy shop?" He asked himself. He didn't see how that was possible. "There's no way she could have know exactly where we where." He stated. Unless... "Did anyone take her?"

"Of course not. That's just insulting our intelligence." Dante shot back.

"Well then explain to me how a woman I left in a house more protected than the fucking president escaped. How..."

Whiles Roman was busy ranting, Russo couldn't help but think of the events that took place earlier. Everything seemed well organised and to their advantage except... "The bomb." He murmured but Santino caught onto it. "What?"

Russo looked up at the four men. "The bomb. The fucking BOMB!!" He dashed out, with the rest of the men behind him.

Monica followed them outside. She watched quietly as Roman, Dante, Pablo and Russo sat in a car and sped off. "What's going on?" She asked Santino.

The forty eight year old man scratched his bald head in frustration. He finally placed them on his hips. "Nikki escaped to where Valentino was and we set a bomb there with Tanya and her goons in before leaving.

Monica covered her moth with her hands to stop herself from screaming. She as well as the others could only hope she was safe because if not they would have hell to pay.

Roman run as soon as the car came to a halt. It took everything in him to run as he did because the sight of the former shop was enough to knock him out then and there. Without thinking he started picking pieces of the broken wall and threw them as he screamed for his beloved. "NIKKI! NIKKI! NIKKI!"

Dante rushed to his side. "Roman relax. We've called for someone to come clear all the sand and stone." Roman wasn't about to even consider what he said. He wasn't about to sit back and wait for god knows how long for help. Unknowing tears escaped his eyes as he continued his work. His brothers looked at his pathetic form, then at themselves. He looked silly but who wouldn't especially with their better half in trouble and by the way- what were brothers for? They rushed to his side and began picking up pieces of wall as well.

***************************

The old woman rushed in with some water and medicine when she heard the woman cough. She was still unconscious but coughing was a good sign she was alive. She was tempted to take he to the hospital but the fear of being questioned especially because of how wealthy the woman was dresses stopped her.

She put a wet towel on the woman's forehead, trying to bring down her fever. She watched as the woman tossed in her sleep. As every second passed her case worsened. The woman feared for her. What if she had family somewhere. A husband, a child even. Someone somewhere could be missing her and she was going to do whatever possible to take her back to that loved one-alive and well.
