"Get out. "

Roman's head snapped up to hers. "Excuse me?" Nikki sighed at him. She was his sure he heard her clearly but didn't have any problem repeating herself once her wish will be granted. "Get..."

"I'm not going anywhere. You wanted the truth earlier."

"Well I changed my mind about the truth." She shot back. "If you are my truth-if all this," she pointed around her, "...is part of my truth, then I want nothing to do with it. This whole..."

"Sssshhhhhh!" Roman silenced her. His finger was to her lips but his eyes danced around the room, as if looking for something. After a moment passed, he asked, "Is that a baby?" Nikki scrunched her face in confusion, wondering what he was referring to until she heard a noise. "My baby!" She cried then run to his room.

Roman stood by the door, watching as she picked up a baby from its cradle. His breath got caught in his throat and without his permission, his legs moved further till he stood beside her. His emotions were all over the place, unsure of how to react. "Whose child is that?" He asked, finally.

"Mine." She spat.

Roman clenched his jaw. A certain emotion was finally overshadowing the rest; anger? Maybe. At himself? Yes, of course. "Who is the father?" He asked again.

Nikki looked at him as if he had grown another head before replying. "Obviously I don't know but I hope it's not you." She started to leave but Roman lightly grabbed her elbow. "Don't say that." He forced out through clenched teeth. More like plead. "You had a baby here all this time and didn't say anything?!"

She removed herself from his hold and shot back. "You knew who I was all this time and didn't say anything?!"

"IT'S NOT THE SAME FUCKING THING!!!"

The tone of his voice made the baby cry louder than before. "You better not yell at me." Nikki warned as she rocked her child back to silence. "Do you think any of this has been easy for me? My son is almost four months and still doesn't have a name. You might have thought it funny to play with my mind but what of the baby? What of your baby?" She sobbed the latter part out in a sob.

"I missed the birth of my child, again. For the second time." She heard Roman whisper and when she looked up, she saw the wet trail his tears left on both cheeks. Although he seemed to be looking far, the hurt in his eyes where close enough for her to notice. Well that made two of them.

"...and the funniest part is that I had him a few days after I met you. So, guess what? The joke's on you. Get out." She spat.

Roman felt like a fool where he stood. His entire game had turned on him. Heck he didn't even notice she was pregnant when they first met if he did, he would have played a different ball game. "Cara..." he attempted to touch her but she moved out the way.

"I still don't remember anything."

"You have to have remembered something by now."

"Well I don't remember you." As she said those words, for the first time, genuine hurt fogged his entire expression with tears flooding his eyes. Nikki felt her heart break at how helpless and hurt he looked. She cared for him since they met and although he kept such vital information from her, she didn't hate him to the point where she wanted him broken. A little hurt like she is? Sure, but was where it ended. She hugged her now quiet child closer. The day was exhausting and she wanted nothing more than to go to bed and forget everything. "You should..."

"Romanov!!!" Dante exclaimed, making an appearance. "What is it?" Roman questioned, not removing his attention from Nikki and the child. "Valentino." He simply replied.

Finally, Roman faced him. He didn't like the worried expression which formed on his face. "He's dying."

"WHAT?!"

"I can't explain. You have to leave now. I'll stay back and take care of things here." He volunteered. Without looking back and hesitating, Roman run out the room leaving Dante alone with Nikki. He gave her a few seconds to react but when she didn't, he spoke up. "You don't care?"

Nikki raised a brow.

"Your child is this close to dying and you don't care?"

"How do I know he's my child. Roman didn't say anything till now." He snickered at her response. "Come on. We both know Roman's an idiot but not you. Deep down, in your heart I know you know both of you share a life...a family. I know you feel the bond between the two of you." He advised.

Nikki though of the things he said to her and everything he said was the truth. She did feel the bond but she also felt the betrayal which made her hesitate. "How do I know, going back to him is the right thing to do?" She asked.

Dante shrugged. "You don't." He replied. "On the other hand, I do know you have been to hell and back in this lifetime to let such love between the two of you die. If you do then everything would be in vein and those that put you in this predicament would have won, although they are in their graves." He pointed out.

She looked to be in deep though and that gave him a little hope that she may be considering what he said. "Take your time. You have five minutes." He added.

Nikki sighed. She needed answers and she was going to make sure that no matter what happened, she got them that very night. When that happened, then she might be able to know if Roman was worth all the trouble he brought her or if she should not have gone prying. Even if Roman wasn't worth anything, the past she left behind, together with her child may make up for it. "How far is his place from here?"

Roman was not expecting what he saw when he barged into his home. Everybody seemed quite calm and their seemed to have a certain twinkle. "How is Valentino?" He asked. Laura, upon finally noticing him, stood and hugged him. "He just woke up from the coma but the doctor said he needed to run a few tests on him before anyone can see him." She answered.

Roman stepped back, not certain he heard right. He stared at her with a raised brow, looking confused and lost as ever. "Is this some sort of joke?" He asked. Laura looked back at Monica, who shared her confused expression. "Aren't you happy your son is awake?" Monica spoke this time. She sounded more shocked than anything.

He closed his eyes, trying to calm his fast beating heart so it won't explode. "Dante said he was dying." He growled.

Both women shrugged at each other. "I don't know why he said that but it's obviously not true. He's awake." Laura clarified.

His heart rate picked up again, even extending to a shiver which run through his entire body, erupting goose bumps. Without his permission, tears started rolling down his cheeks and he pushed himself into his mother's arms. He was supposed to share this great news with Nikki but now she hated him. When one good came his way, a negative swept close by. "I'm an idiot."

"That you are." A voice said. When Roman lifted his head from his mother's shoulder to trace the voice, he was met with a great surprise. From how silent the room was, he was sure he was not the only one surprised.

"I told you he wasn't good with emotions." Dante whispered to Nikki then looked back at Roman and murmured. "Pussy."
