I didn't stop my movements and continued to run my hands through Connor's hair. Hank seemed a bit uncomfortable when he looked to the side and saw us. I couldn't see Connor's face, but his shoulder and back we're relaxed as he leaned against the back of the seat and pressed into my hands.
"Was this what you two were doing when you walked away?" Hank asked, starting up the car.
"Yeah." Connor hummed, satisfied with my constant actions.
"Buckle in, (Y/n)." Hank told me. I hesitated but slowly removed my hands from Connor's hair and buckled into my seat.
I reached to resume but the seatbelt locked in place and shocked me, pulling me flush against the seat. I sighed and Let out a while. Connor turned in his seat, looking back at me. I made grabbing motions and lightly pressed forward, only for the belt to click and sound that it was locked. Connor sighed and turned back to facing forward.
"Where are we going?" I asked Hank, slightly irritated by the belt.
"A crime scene." Hank spoke briefly.
"No shit, Sherlock." I growled.
"Fuck you, Watson." Hank scoffed back. Connor laughed and I couldn't help but smile. It was like angels were singing and rA9 was here.
Hank and I both smiled happily at the sound of Connor's laughter. It was clear by the happiness Hank was expressing that Connor didn't laugh often.
"We're here." Hank spoke up and we parked into a parking lot. We were in front of Stratford Tower.
Connor got out of the car after Hank and I unbuckled since I was still flush against the seat. My door opened before I could get to the handle and I saw Connor standing there, smiling softly. I quietly thanked Connor and got out of the car, only to be distracted by the tower. It was so tall. We headed in and soon enough we were in an elevator, heading to the up most top floor of the building. Hank was flicking around the lighter and Connor was clearly impressed by it. I stayed behind the two until the elevator dinged and we got out, seeing FBI everywhere.
I watched as Connor chatted up with one of the police officers that had gotten here before us. I noticed three FBI agents standing by some of the evidence. A female with had pretty long orange hair, a male that was slightly dark skinned with a professional appearance, and another male who was white with blonde hair and blue eyes. I felt uncomfortable near them. Another FBI agent approached Hank and Connor, talking to them. I had been already investigating the scene. I could make logical guesses of what happened. No android or human harmed except a few security and one of the fleeing deviants. There was thirium on the walls and blood on one side of the room.
The deviants must've had weapons just in case they would have to use it. One was shot and dragged along with them. I was about to go to the control board when suddenly someone put a hand on my shoulder. Their hands were warmer than Connor's and Hank didn't have body heat. I turned quickly and grabbed the person's wrist, moving quickly and pulling them closer. I shoved their hand behind their back and grabbed their open hand so they couldn't grab any weapons if they were armed. I could feel my stress raise and I stopped when they started to shout in pain. I released them and noticed I had grabbed and disarmed one of the FBI agents. The dark skinned one to be exact.
"I-I'm so sorry! I thought you might've been one of the deviants that hid." I tried to explain, stress rising immensely. The agent simply laughed and smiled happily.
"No, it's perfectly fine. It was my fault, I should have said something before trying to touch your shoulder." He sounded so nice. His eyes were a vibrant green, making him look very attractive. "Anyways, you find anything?"
"Hm? Oh yes, I figured the deviants came in peacefully and didn't want to harm anyone. The Android's working in here had to have known since there was a camera. They were let in and had the people taken care of in a way that was peaceful and wouldn't hurt anyone. They recorded and when they finished had to shoot in order to protect themselves. They carried weapons for protection, but one of the androids was injured. They were taken to the roof." I explained my logical theory, hiding my confusion with a happy tone. The agent nodded.
"I figured. Me and my small group had an almost identical theory." The agent agreed. "Thank you for your insight, detective..." He waited for me to fill in the silence.
"I'm (Y/n). I don't like using my last name so just detective (Y/n) is fine." I happily informed him. He must've not known I'm an android.
"Ah, I'm Agent Manfred but you can call me Markus." He smiled in such a way that it almost seemed like he was flirting on me. The two other FBI agents he was with were glaring at each other with such hostility and seemed like jealousy.
"It was nice to meet you, Markus. I must get back to my group. I'm pretty sure Hank was going to go interrogate the workers to find out who the deviant was." I scanned the controls quickly and rushed to the kitchen/break room.
Hank just then got pushed back by the deviant as the other two remained still. The deviant ripped out Hank's thirium pump and stabbed his hand into the table. I gasped and rushed to Hank as the deviant ran and shoved his thirium pump back in, pulling the knife out of his hand. Hank rushed up and ran after the deviant. I followed and managed to get ahead of him, looking around as I quickly scanned the surroundings. I had only very few options.
