Amanda's POV
As I was getting up this morning I heard my parents coming. Probably to just boss me around more. Great. I don't even get to live my life because of them. Sometimes I wonder why I even try to reason with them.
"Amanda, are you up yet?" My mom yelled up to me agrivatedly.
"Yea mom I'm up." I said in kind of a sassy tone.
" Ok, pick out something to wear. You're going to be late if you keep moving like this." Mom said.
"But it's only 6:43 and the first day of school. No one will care if you're late the first day." I stated clearly.
"I don't care. You're going early to show that you are a dedicated student." Mom said stubbornly.
"Whatever." I said unemotionally.
Great now to pick out something that's gonna not make me look like a weirdo. I just randomly chose a grey shirt that says does it look like I care and black leggings. I also grabbed some grey shoes and my headphones which are also black.
After I get dressed I brush my short, dark brown hair and teeth. After I'm done I grab my black backpack and head to the door. I'm getting ready to walk out the door when my dad stops me.
"Are you walking to school?" He says confused.
"Yea what else would I be doing?" I say sarcastically.
"Well your mother wants her to take you to school so get in the car, I think she's waiting for you in there." Dad says sternly.
As I walk out the door fuming I walk up to the car. Mom roles down the window and says
"Why aren't you in the car already you are going to be late?"
"I'm walking to school today like a normal person. Is that a problem?"
"Yes it is. It's too far away for you to walk there." She says and by this point I'm pissed.
"IT'S TWO BLOCKS AWAY! HOW IS THAT FAR?" I'm exploding right then and there.
"Just get in the car and if you ever raise your voice at me again you will get your phone taken away."
I slowly walk to the car in defeat. I was really hoping that I could walk to school. But I guess that will always be a dream. Like most things.
