Ava plugged in the key and turnt the ignition.
Marcus, Jazmin, and Ava sat in Ian and jon's newest model; a large hyper proton cosmic manned drone. The drone was a dark, metallic blue, made of vibranium and raw scabrite. The ship had a circular main entry deck from which four long hall-like branches extended at four 90º intervals, each leading to a circular personal flight/piloting pod. The boys' goals had been to make one of their favorite toy drones into a real, pilot able thing, and at that they had achieved and were very proud. For some reason, they were entrusting Ava to pilot it, thoug she'd most likely crash.
The drone floated straight up, slowly levitating up through its custom hole in the roof of the garage. Once they were out of the garage, Ava turned the ship towards the church and pressed the pedal to the metal. Jazmin laughed and Marcus screamed from their pods as the land blurred around them and the mansion grew smaller and smaller behind their ship. Within no time, Ava had successfully lowered the drone onto the small green field next to True Life church, causing every loose piece of garbage within a 500 ft radius to blow and fly sheepishly in the other direction. The ship landed with a solid *thump*.
Marcus was the first out, dropping out of his pod onto his knees and even considering kissing the ground. He hated flying. Jazmin hopped out of her's and, after grabbing ava's hand to help her out of the pilot's seat, The two ran off to make the coffee before Gale arrived. Marcus ran after, wobbling a bit with virtego.
The bartenders all arrived at their designated work space at the same time, each splitting into a different direction as to begin a different task. Jazmin started the coffee, Ava prepared all of the cups and plastic ware, and Marcus sat down at a table at scrolled through his twitter, 'catching up on current events'. Once everything was done, the girls took a deep breath and high fived. They had finished everything before Gale had even got there! The only thing they still needed to do was cut the donuts into halves, and then theyde be ready for service.
Ava laughed. 'You know what I realized? We left in such I rush we forgot to say goodbye!' She pulled out her transparent micro-tablet(another one of Ian and jon's Inventions), and texted Sophie that they had made it to church safely and that they'd see them soon. 'They may be so absorbed in spongebob that they'l forget all about church.' Jazmin smiled. 'I'm sure Sophie would NOT let them get away with that, though.'
*CRASH*
The girls whipped around, both slowly registering marcus's Smashed glass of tea laying pitifully on the ground as he stood, mouth hanging open, in the kitchen. His hand was still extended, as if it were still holding his poor mug. His hand began to twitch.
Marcus slowly turned around to look at Jazmin and Ava, who were both standing at the small door to the river room, looking into the kitchen at him, confused expressions on both of their faces. 'Guys.' He said, his voice quiet, wavering. 'We don't have any donuts.'
