Ava, Jazmin, and Marcus took to the hedges- sitting all three of them in between an air softener and some big green bush on the side of the house. They were directly under a window so the risk of exposition was low. The three lowered in for a plan.
"We can't do this alone." Ava whispered. "There's several of them. They may be smaller than us but who knows how many are in there?"
Marcus agreed. And Jazmin thought.
"Well... I do know someone we can call. She never does anything so she could be here in... hmm... 45 seconds." Jazmin said solemnly. Marcus and ava exchanged knowing looks. Would it be worth it? Yes. Marcus set his jaw. "Call her".Inside the house, it was silent. Downstairs was lightless and the curtains were drawn. Only the refrigerator ran, giving off a soft hum as it kept the golden loot inside cold. Up the stairs, more life was evident, and yellow light sifted through the crack under a closed bedroom door.
Three people sat in a circle, talking in quiet, excited whispers as Alexa, their faithful robot companion, played top 100 hits. The time was 10:30. Service was about to finish.
" I can't believe we got them. We won! The bartender for jesus are no more! They will be fired and we can take their places." Sneered Claire, grinning. She stroked Alexa evilly.
"At last Gale will make US fancy labels and pay US below-minimum-wage!" Cried lily maliciously. They both laughed.

who sat hunched awkwardly with the smaller girls.
Before they could celebrate the coming of 10:45, a loud noise filled the streets outside. Lily hopped up and peeked through the blinds of the bedroom. She shrieked and hopped back down. "It's HER." Lily whispered with horror. "WE WerE sO CLosE!"
'Don't give up hope yet." Claire growled and stormed to the window. The noise sounded as if a million little baby children were shrieking outsi-
Claire peeked through the window panes. The sky was green and black, and the houses surrounding theirs were no where to be seen. The house was surrounded by a horrible swarm cloud of... parakeets? The millions of little birds flew in a sphere around the house, blocking off the outside world from the donut-theives. They chirped and screamed, and out from the swarm in front of the house emerged the bartenders... ava, Marcus, and Jazmin. And HER, the parakeet goddess herself, Rafu and Rafubot (yep I've read all of Rafia's fics...).Claire gasped. "Get the donuts!" She commanded. Marcus' evil twin awkwardly got up and ran jankily downstairs. Lily grabbed and AK-47 S.E.E.D out of her closet and cocked it, following Marcus. Claire pulled out her iPhone and texted for backup. She had a team.
