Within the next 5 minutes, a trail of chocolate covered glazed donut crumbs had been discovered around the playground and front of the church. Detective Elly held each sample in her gloved hands and examined them closely, while Jazmin and Ava weaved through the parking lot, looking for evidence in the vehicles. After a couple more minutes without any evidence, the team regrouped around the front steps of True Life. "We have a good lead." Elly said, holding up the baggies. "What is this gonna lead us to, though." Sophie pointed out. "We have no solid direction to follow. We should just go to service, we can survive one day without Round Rock donuts." Ryan shook his head and pointed at the evidence. "We've gotten this far. We're going all the way. No quits!"
Marcus pulled out his tablet and typed for a bit. He held up his hand for everyone's attention. This wikihow says to run-the-evidence. Detective Elly, does your forensic kit have fingerprint powder?" He looked up expectantly at the trench coat-clad girl. Elly smiled proudly and pulled out a small vial of white powder. As the team split into smaller groups to start running the different crumbs for fingerprints, the church entrance opened and Gale stepped out, hands on hips. "Why aren't you guys in service?"
Jazmin stood up from the group while they focused on brushing on the powder. "We're looking for the donuts. We need to find them before service ends," She looked at gale in despair. "They'll dock our pay! We're nothing without those donuts!" She said, waving her hand towards her bartending crew, Ava and Marcus. Gale sighed, and then looked intently at Jazmin. "If you're nothing without the donuts, then you shouldn't have them."
Jazmin nodded, and then jerked her head up intently. "Guys. I know who took the donuts." The kids stopped brushing and looked to her, Elly closely examined a print sample. "Someone who thinks we shouldn't have them..." Jazmin whispered. Ava jumped up, meeting Jazmin's eyes. "Oh no." she sucked in her breath. Elly slowly lifted up, still examining the sample. "Oh yes." she said, her voice wavering. The three girls met eyes, and they all three knew who was responsible. The others all stood up, ready. Ava looked to Gale, who frowned. "We need a car."
