[beppi panic attack headcanons]

Beppi the Clown

+ Believe it or not, Beppi was the same way when he started his career. He'd always known that he wanted to entertain people, but there were always these unknown emotions that would overwhelm him whenever and wherever they pleased. It was difficult to control. It was embarrassing afterwards. Lucky for him, he had the barbershop quartet there for him when need be. Over the years, panic attacks became slightly less evident. And then he met you!

+ When he witnesses you having a panic attack firsthand he's almost driven to tears, but he knows that in order to help you through this, he has to remain calm himself. You were curled up tight beneath one of the carnival's benches, crying and shaking seriously with your face buried in between your knees. He could see your breaths taking over you choppily, shivering as you pulled your legs closer, a way in which you felt slightly safer.

+ Beppi is completely heartbroken. He and his broken heart slowly made their way over to you nevertheless. He gently sat down in front of you, his legs crossed as though he were in preschool. Sweaty, gloved hands fidgeted with themselves when he called out your name, in the softest voice he could muster up. End result was that you hit your head on the table above you, and immediately your face went back in between your knees.

+ He doesn't use any forceful movements or harsh words in order to reach you, no. Instead he very gently takes your hand and begins to softly rub the back of it with his thumb. The action startles you a little, but not as much as before. You were finally able to recognize the person sitting on the concrete before your shaking form. It's Beppi. This was someone you trusted greatly. Still, you couldn't shake the thought of being in harm's way. Salty tears slid down your face relentlessly. 

+ Beppi tells you that he needs you to breath. In order to rid of this feeling, you've got to breathe. In for four, hold for two seconds, and release for four. He's holding your hand and providing reassurance whenever you complete a set of deep breaths, despite how much your chest must be hurting right now. 

+ Often uses the floating feather method when trying to get you to breathe! He tells you to imagine keeping a feather afloat, and that it will stay in its happy place so long as you continue to take steady breaths.

+ While he is still extremely hesitant when it comes to touching you, he sits down across from you with his arms wide, just in case you want to crawl into his chest and feel safe and sound.

+ Beppi often gives this one significant look to passerby that gets them to relocate from the two of you, understand that they don't need to say anything and that he can handle it. He doesn't like having others interact with you during times like this because he feels as if he knows how to calm you down the best.

+ He likes to assure you that you guys can go into a private space, and he's always telling you that he will keep you safe. You are his responsibility, and if seeing you in this state isn't enough, then I'll be damned, he might as well be panicking too.

+ He's got this one special music box that he keeps around just for you. It plays your favorite song in a soft and soothing melody and it helps on certain occasions. He may tell you to hold onto it when he can't be with you. There's a little note inside of it for those moments when he isn't there (which is rare, honestly), and it's filled with sweet, encouraging words.

+ He picks up on what you do and don't like pretty easily. He is a pretty annoying guy at times, so he's adapted to having someone tell him when to stop, or when things are not working, or when he needs to give them some space. He much prefers to stay with you during your time of panic though, no matter how many times you assure him that you're okay. He just won't have it.

+ Afterwards he will probably hold your hand so that you know that you two are forever connected, and that he does not plan on ever having to leave your side. He'll probably try to make you smile with little surprise kisses or gifts once its all over.

+ Is definitely the type to take you home and get all sentimental about how nervous he was while comforting you. You'll be in his arms, quietly, wrapped up in a little blanket, and he'll just ramble about how much he cares about you and wants to see you grow out of this gradually.

+ Mega supportive.

+ Might say some things at a bad time but... You can forgive him. It's never too extreme.

+ He loves you entirely too much to let you suffer through that alone.
