never ending / 09.08.18
"please come down,"
they say,
"I'm going for the pizza."
it's a repeat of
Thursday and last week
and the week before that.
the cycle never ends.
we get up, sometimes shower.
we run around, maybe
we eat breakfast. but after
that we lay and watch
time go by.
we move without
going anywhere, no destination
in sight and I'm ready
to repeat everything with them.
even if I don't really want to.
"please stay away,"
I hear them say again,
"hey, are you awake?"
you're not meant to be when
you aren't going places
with them.
they sit like ducks
so get up.
run around and don't go
anywhere in your
own way.
