As the names of the dead slowly fade away from the screen, Makenna instantly goes to a terminal and begins typing.
Drystan sighed, catching sight of Makenna's command. "Sweetie, you can't glue their legs together."
"Why?" Makenna asked stubbornly.
"Because you can't. It doesn't work like that. They're not five year olds. You can't just force them to cooperate in that manner," Drystan explained patiently.
"Fine," Makenna pouted, then began to type something else.
"Makenna, are you sure this won't have any permanent damage?" Drystan asked worriedly.
Makenna waved him off. "Nothing too bad, anyway," she said.
"Makenna, whoever wins will still need their vocal cords," Drystan said condescendingly.
Makenna ignored him typing the commands into the computer. "Whoever wins won't need to speak because they'll have grown proficient at communication without it."
Drystan sighed and shook his head. "Something tells me this is going to backfire."
"It will be perfect."
