"Millie, Millie just help me out here." Finn whisper yelled, trying to get her attention from the other cell.Millie turned to him, "What's the point Finn? I'm so tired, I'm tired of all of this. I just want everything to end." She let out, curling up into a ball
Finn raised an eyebrow surprised, "Don't you want to find your parents? I want to see my mom." He reasoned
She closed her eyes tight. "My mom is dead Finn. Brenner is actually my father. And Ivy might be my sister. So everything is pretty shit for me at the moment. All that information we found is fake, at least mine is." She admitted
Finn tried to process what she was saying. "So that means my mom isn't..." He began to say
"Maybe." She answered, not to wanting him to give up hope.
They stayed silent for a few minutes, it was too still dark to see each other.
But maybe it was better that way
"That doesn't mean we shouldn't try to break out. Do you remember the very first practice mission we had? We could've died if it were real, the one thing we lacked was teamwork. I think that's exactly what we should be doing now." Finn tried to encourage
Millie didn't pay any regard, she was far too gone to be positive.
Finn noticed.
"Can you just try and walk forward, I want to see how far we are from each other. Then we'll have a good idea on how to break out. Put your hand through the cell." He suggested
Millie sighed, if she died in the process, she wouldn't mind. She just wanted to help Finn, because surely his mother was alive. If she didn't deserve happiness, he certainly did.
She dragged herself close to the cell bars, reaching out. "Your turn." She whispered
Finn smiled, putting his hand out.
Their hands were close enough together to grab, meaning their cells were close.
"Your hands are cold." She commented, he chuckled abit.
"As bad as things are, I kind of don't want to let go." He bashfully admitted
Millie smiled. "I'm going to get you out. You need to see your mom at least. That's something I'm promising." She spoke
Finn shook his head. "Stop talking like that. I'm not going to leave you behind with those physcos. We're both going to get out." He assured
Millie ignored this. "Finn, if you truly care about me, promise me that no matter what happens, if you have a chance, leave without me." She asked
Finn cut her off, "No just- no" he began to interrupt
"Promise me!" She repeated
He sighed,
"I...promise." He told her, grateful that it was too dark for her to see him crossing his fingers behind his back.
Millie tried to feel around her, they needed something, anything to get out.
"Feel the bars, what material are they?" Finn asked
Millie tried to observe them in the dim lighting, "Possibly Iron and steel, due to the fact its rusting. It actually shouldn't be too hard to break." She answered "But not with bare hands," she added
Finn thought about it. "Ok, oxygen causes things to rust. Temperature is a factor, Millie I hear a machine behind you. What is it?" He questioned
