"Finn Wolfhard, to the stand." Judge Ryder spoke, her voice echoing through the court room.Finn stood up, fixing his suit and looking back at his attorney. He held his crutches close and walked.
Millie watched in her seat, she would be up next.
"State your testimony," Judge Ryder ordered
The room fell silent as Finn stood up by the microphone.
"Well, my attorney wanted me to say what they had written for me , but I figured it just wouldn't be honest of me." Finn began to say
Caleb shifted, "What is he doing!?" He whisper yelled
"Let him speak, trust him" Noah interrupted, calming him down."This is probably really stupid of me but here we go. When I first set out, I was stupid kid and admittedly scared. I thought I was a murderer. I had saved my mother's life yet in the process set up a life of crime for myself. I stole to survive at first, even then I felt evil for doing so. I told myself I was the bad guy, so much so that I actually began to believe it. I began stealing no longer because of need, but because in wanted to. I hitch hiked from city to city, town to town alone. I put my hacking to use, and was contempt with how I was living. I was a stupid kid then, maybe even now. But then, something miraculous happened. I met Millie Bobby Brown, she had saved my life. Literally and metaphorically. On multiple occasions. I wasn't to keen at first, especially after the FBI took us under there wing. But we had something in common, we both believed we were less than we were. So incapable and unforgivable. But we were proven wrong, we made friends like Sadie Sink and Noah Schnapp. Charlie Heaton, Joey Kerry, and Natalia Dyer. They showed us the best version of ourselves. We felt loved and cared for and were shown the right path. For the first time we felt worthy, even if we were constantly showing otherwise. Yes, we're criminals, and yet, somehow, we'll always have a part of us like that. But if you meet the right people, and you fall in love, that'll change. hopefully for the better." Finn ended, turning to Millie in the audience. "There's only one regret I have. Mills, I'm sorry, I should've asked you what was wrong when we split. I should've not let my pride get the better of me. I should've....I should've said I love you too."
Millie sat with a huge smile, feeling her heart grow by the minute.
Finn then looked to the judge, "If I can't be forgiven for my crimes, than I plead you forgive her." He announced, leaving judge Ryder with a smile.
He sat down.
Judge Ryder cleared her throat, "Right then, Millie Bobby Brown to the stand." She summoned
Millie got up, flattening her dress and giving Sadie and Natalia a thumbs up.
She walked up to the stand, "State your testimony." Judge Ryder ordered
Millie nodded, looking though out the audience to spot Finn. He was grinning.
"Well, these past few months have been...something out of this world. When I first met Finn, I believed my parents were dead. I believed letting people in would only hurt, not help. I put my walls up and pushed others away. I was an orphan. I was also a very stubborn girl, who only cared about herself. But as the months went on I learned many things. I learned David Harbour was alive. Then I learned my parents were alive, only to find out that was partially false. My mom is dead, she always has been. My father was the most wanted person in America. All my life I've been scared of loving and I've been scared of rotting in a cell alone. It wasn't until after I met my father that I realized I was also scare of becoming like him. He was pure evil, he didn't care about anyone, like me. But then I remembered something a good friend once said. All our lives, we've been told that we're the bad guys. We're the criminals, there's no way we could ever be the heroes of the story. We don't get happy endings. But no one has the right to tell us who we are. We decide that ourselves. And I think everyone should listen to that. Back then, I wouldn't have hesitated on killing my father, I also would have abandoned everyone for my own cause. But I couldn't do that now. Back then, if you would've asked me what my greatest fear was, I'd say love. Now, my greatest fear, is losing Finn Wolfhard. He doesn't deserve any of this. Thank you." She ended, walking back to her spot.
Judge Ryder sat, contemplating how two kids could have such a grown mindset. She smiled.
"Thank you both for your honorable testimony's. If i could let you go, then I would. But sadly I can't go against the law. But what I can do is reduce your sentence. For helping the FBI, and proving to be great people. Millie Bobby Brown, you are sentenced to two years. Finn Wolfhard, three years. That is final." Judge Ryder smiled
Although they still had prison time, Millie and Finn were relieved. They knew there would be consequences for everything, so waiting three years wasn't as bad as waiting ten.
Sadie, Noah, Charlie, Joe, Natalia and Finn's parents hugged them bye. They would visit both of them throughout the years though. That was a promise.
Millie and Finn were both ready for the handcuffs, but just before that, one thing had to be done.
They ran to each other, embracing in a tight hug. Tears running down their cheeks as they both leaned into a passionate kiss.
"I love you, I love you, I love you." Finn repeated as he kissed her
She smiled, "I love you too."
They separated, getting locked into handcuffs.
"See you in three years citygirl!" Finn yelled
"See you in three years city boy!" She yelled back smiling.
And they would.

Ten Years Later
~~~~~~~~~~~
Millie waited for the signal inside the car, watching through her rear view mirror.
"Mommy! Mommy are we leaving yet? I want to go on an adventure again! I love being the good guys." The little boy in the seat behind her excitedly asked
Millie smiled, looking back. "Yes honey, just remember to leave your seatbelt on." She reminded
Her ear piece rang as another voice spoke
"That's what you get for having kids." Finn spoke, waiting on top of a roof with Noah.
Millie hummed in response. "Yup."
"So you're married now?" Finn asked
"Yes." Millie answered
"Heard your husband is a huge dork," Finn joked
"He is, and he is about to be a divorced man if he keeps on joking while we're on a mission." She retorted
Finn laughed, "I love you too Mills."
Millie smiled, looking back to see her son spilling juice on the car seat. "Spencer Wolfhard! What did I say about bringing food?" She scorned
Spencer laughed, causing Millie to smile because damn she had a soft spot for her child. "Alright, geez you're just like your dad." She commented
"He got the better genes then, tell him daddy loves him!" Finn added
Millie did so.
"Alright, target at three o'clock." Sadie suddenly spoke
Finn grinned, "Mrs. Wolfhard, are you ready'?"
"Yes Mr. Wolfhard, ready as I'll ever be." Millie chimed, stepping on the gas.
Because after everything, they were finally the good guys, chasing after criminals.
And even though they were always on the run.
They were on the run together.
And that was all that ever mattered.
