Your breath got heavier as you ran into a jungle of some sort, and out of nowhere you stumble, someone rushed out of the bushes seeing an arrow perfectly aimed on your head as a tall hooded figure held the bow tightly. But, as quickly as he came, he changed his aim, shooting the arrow right on the left side of your head, hitting your beanie causing you to be pinned on the tree, causing you to gasp.
"Y/N!" An anxious voice of a teenage boy filled your ears.
"Y/N!" A sharp voice said as you snapped your eyes open. Your math teacher stood in front of you glaring. "Sleeping in my class again, I see. Don't worry young girl! The bell is about to ring."
The bell did ring as she finished her sentence. She dismissed all of you as you quickly got up, wanting to go home. It is not as if you hated math, you just hated the teacher, and her boring voice. You thought about your dream, it was the first time you dreamt of it, but somehow it felt like you did dream of it before, or it sort of happened. 'I must have dreamt of it before. It's just a dream. I have never been on an island with a jungle of some sort.' You thought. 'Silly dream.'
As you walk out of school, in another realm sat Peter up. He dreamt about his little girl almost being killed. It was the first time he dreamt about it. He sighed looking at Wendy, who was asleep at his side. He sighed, and felt bad for even dating Wendy even if, deep down, he was just waiting for his lost girl to return.
"Come back to me." He whispered to himself, pushing Wendy's arm that was wrapped around his torso. He closed his eyes somehow wishing the girl he had been waiting was somewhere near him.
You entered your house and yet you found yourself alone. You kind of missed the times that your house was noisy. You grew up with your mother who is busy with her business, and your brother, who is in college. The both of them are away, leaving you alone. They said your father died trying to find someone important to him. You sighed and collapsed on the couch, bringing your journal out, as you scribbled poetic lines that had been running in your mind. You let the time fly. Luckily you did not have homework, so you just sat there in silence pushing the loneliness out of your mind. As you push the loneliness, you remembered your neighbour's words saying that you were the reason your father was dead.
"This is so pathetic." You whispered to yourself. You hate thinking about your father in a sense that you have no recollection of him, and yet it was your fault that he was dead. You found it odd to be feeling this lonely, you were always alone but never lonely. It was as if you felt like you had to go to someone. You shook the gut feeling off, and went straight to your room, unlocking the windows so it felt less suffocating.
You slumped on your bed, staring at the ceiling, still thinking about this feeling you have. It must have been the dream, you thought. You closed your eyes, remembering the arrow being aimed at you. But the person who screamed for you, it felt like, it was real and as if he was involved with this feeling you have. You were dozing off, when a shadow of some sort extended its hand towards you. You yawned, your vision blurry.
"I'm coming back to you." You whispered to yourself, as if you wanted a dream related to the feeling you had. You grabbed the hand of the shadow, and you let yourself doze off, as you felt the midnight breeze brush against your face.
"Pan!" Felix said, as Wendy was whining about why Peter left her in his treehouse. Peter was actually thankful that Felix came, but this means they have a problem. But it was odd, since worry nor fear covered the face of Felix, he seemed rather excited.
"What happened?" Pan said, glaring at Felix, thinking it must have been a silly thing the lost boys did.
"She came and found us! She came and found you!" Felix said grabbing Pan excitedly by the shoulder. Something he had never done.
"Ouch!" Y/N said as she looked at the boys, and a girl in a nightgown, standing in front of her. She looked around, it was a familiar jungle, it felt like she had been here for a very long time, like it was home.
"I've been here before." She said, observing her surroundings. "In a dream. Yeah, I dreamt of this. Gosh, i might be in Mrs. Hale's math class again."
"Y/N." A tall blonde boy whispered, as he approached her sitting in front of her. "Do you remember me? It's F-felix!"
"No, and how did you know my name? You sound like a total creep." You said laughing. "Just joking, just trying to lighten the mood here. Everyone looks so tense."
"Y-you don't remember me?" Felix asked again as if hurt. "Maybe you remembered Pan." He said gesturing to a tall boy with light brown hair, with the most amazing green eyes you met. He looked intense, and powerful, but as he approach you, his features softened.
"Am I supposed to remember any of you? Because I don't." You said standing up, brushing the dirt off your jeans. You fixed your shirt, as you looked at the two boys, and the girl standing behind them.
"Where am I?" You asked.
"Y/N, you're in Nev–" Felix got cut off, when Pan stepped forward grabbing you by the wrist.
"What the hell?" You said, as you tried to get out of his grip.
"Why did you come here?" He said, his voice was husky, and serious. His features were back to being intense, but you noticed the pain and softness in his eyes.
"B-because I felt like I n-need to find someone." You said, your voice barely audible.
"Who? Who sent you? And who are you?" Pan said, his grip tightening.
"Nobody sent me, why should I tell you who I am?" You said almost breathless trying to escape.
"I know you're here for a reason, I can feel it! Why are you here?"
"Just let me go! You sound completely pointless." You said trying to get out of his grip.
"Send him to the cages, Felix." Pan said as he continued to care in your eyes. You sighed in defeat looking at him straight into the eyes pleading. He frowned as he stared at your eyes as if he remembered something.
"You have got to be kidding, Pan. This is Y/N." Felix said. He turned to his friend and sighed.
"Fine. I'll let you out for tonight. Till I find out what you want from my island. Come, Wendy." He said pushing you to the ground. Wendy smirked looking at you as she clung to Pan's arm.
When they disappeared, Felix helped you up, as you tried to brush the dirt again off your pants.
"They don't look cute together." You said, cursing under your breath as Felix laughed at you. "What's so funny?"
"I believe someone is jealous." He said. "Come, let's get back to camp. Pan will remember you soon, and you'll remember him, including me, as well. Come on, Princess."
"I'm not jealous!" You said as you followed him into the jungle. "Felix? How did you know me?"
"As a very young girl, you lived here. Too young for you to remember."
"But, why did I leave?" You said as Wendy came swooping out of the bushes. She glared at you and looked at Felix who, at the same time, glared at her.
"Faster, Felix. My Peter is looking for you." She said walking away.
"Come on, Y/N. Pan is looking for me." He said, as you two walked faster.
"Did that girl just call Pan 'Peter'?" You whispered as you reached a clearing where a camp lies. It was pretty large and amazing knowing the fact that both Felix and Pan built this. There was a campfire in the middle, where tons of boys danced around.
"Yes, she did call me 'Peter'. Did I forget to introduce myself?" Pan said as he popped out beside you. "I'm Peter. Peter Pan."
"Why does everyone around here just pop out anywhere?" You sighed, rolling your eyes.
"You never got used to it." Felix said as he walked away towards the fire that had been lit in the middle of the camp, while leaving you and Pan behind.
"Felix might be fooled but I'm not." He said, looking straight into your eyes.
"Why did you come here, and who are you? Tell me the truth. I'm letting you stay for the night before I send you home, and I am risking my camp's safety so you can rest. What danger are you bringing? Why are you here? Who are you, and who sent you?" He said trying to be more serious yet more gentle this time.
"Fine. I am Y/N. This morning at school, while having classes, i had a dream about being almost killed by a hooded figure. He aimed the arrow at me but he intentionally hit my beanie instead, pinning me to a tree, as if he was scaring somebody. I think that happened when I was 2, since I never wore beanies now a days. He was scaring a boy who was screaming for me. And I was woken up, and the dream ended there. I got home, feeling lonely, even though i was used to being alone, and then I remembered my father suddenly. My Mom told me he died looking for something important to him, and the others said it was because of me. it's a blur really, my childhood is a blur. I just felt like it is a blur because of my father's past, so I felt like I needed to find the reason why everything was like this, and it felt like it had a connection of some sort to my dream. And then, hours ago, a shadow came swooping down my window handling his hand to me, and then I woke up in this bloody place." You said, looking at Pan whose mouth was dropped open. "Sorry do I talk too much?"
"Y/N? Is it really you?" Pan said as the camp got quiet, everyone looked your way. You nodded, and tried to smiled. He pulled you into a hug, his scent filling your nose. You closed your eyes enjoying his warmth. It suddenly felt like home.
"Why did you suddenly believe that I am y/N?" You asked as you pulled away.
"Because that was the reason why I sent you back home. You were almost killed by the Pirates. I could not risk your life so we can be together. Though these years, all I did was wait for you, and learn magic so I can protect you when the time comes. Your father died on a plane crash when he was gonna cross another country to look for you on the day I sent you back. Do you remember?" He told you the story slowly, and sadly, but when he asked you if you remembered he looked excited.
"I-i'm sorry but I really don't remember. I'm sorry." You said as you touched his arm. "I-i'm trying my best to remember but really I can't."
He looked hurt as he smiled at you walking away slowly, as he sighed. You saw him wiping a tear off his face. You bit your fingers as Wendy followed him.
"Peter! Wait." She said, grabbing Peter by the arm.
"Just leave me alone, Wendy." He said as he walked away his voice was weak. You felt guilty as you started to walk away from camp, Felix following you.
"Where are you going?"
"Home. It felt like I was hurting him. My head is all fuzzy now. I want to remember who he is, what this place is, who you guys are, and most importantly, why did I feel at ease, and happy when he held me? It was like his touch was so comforting. I wish I remember who he is. I really want to know who he is. I can see the pain, even if he cried silently walking away his back turned away from me."
"Can't you remember?" Felix asked. You shook your head chewing your lips.
"Can you perhaps give me time on my own Felix?" You asked.
"Y/N, the island is dangerous."
"I know, but I'm not scared. I know Peter will save me."
"Please, you are not aware of what Neverland is like."
"Neverland? You call this place Neverland?" You asked, furrowing your eyebrows.
"Yeah, because people here never grow up, and this was a place for children to visit in their dreams."
"Maybe i'm dreaming."
"You aren't. You know, you aren't" Felix said. "I'll leave you first. Stay safe."
You nodded, walking around. You walked towards a tree house with stairs, a voice of a girl fill your ears as she sang when you passed by. Tinker bell. Yes, a fairy whose wings were taken away lived here. You walked on your own for a moment. You passed by a cave covered with vines. It appears to be abandoned, but a boy ,a boy named... Yes, a boy named Baelfrie used to live here. Your memories started coming back, as you reach a lagoon. The mermaid lagoon. This was where Felix took you when you go looking for someone important, so when he comes back to the island you're the first ones he sees. You walked further as you reached a high rock. You climbed over it, and astonishment filled your eyes.
A cave that is carved as a skull sat in the middle of the endless ocean. You smiled, and your head winced as you tried to remember why you suddenly feel like going there. You wanted to go, you had a gut feeling, but you were too tired. But the tiredness urges you more.
"That is where I took you when I come back to the island every night after fetching some lost boys. You always feel tired, since Felix takes you to the mermaid lagoon every day, so you are the first ones I see when I come back." Peter said making you jump. His eyes were puffy, but you tried to ignore it.
"Why are people always just popping out of nowhere?" You said highly scared.
"You really never got used to it. When you were 2, i would always use it to scare you, I pop out of sight, and just re-appear when you start crying."
"You really never aged." You said, furrowing your brows. "P-peter how come that I can't remember you?"
"I'll make you remember." He said as he let his hand out. You took it, as you two flew all the way to the cave that looked like a skull.
An hourglass stood in front of you, and everything came rushing back. This is where you and Peter spent most of your time, just playing and talking. This place was called Skull Rock. Your eyes began to water as you stat to remember Peter.
"I c-can remember now." You said, as you look at him, as your eyes started to form tears. His eyes began to water as well, a smile crossing his face.
He slowly came to you, and slightly brushed his fingers in your cheek. "But everything's changed now, Peter."
"Yeah, everything has changed, but you came back, and I'll make sure I would never let go of you"
His lips met yours, his lower lip tug under yours, as your lips moved with his.The kiss was gentle, and passionate, and as the kiss lasted longer you felt like you are finally home.
