Dirt below you crunches underneath your feet as you step closer and closer to the sleazy, old house ahead of you, the windows either shattered or non-existent, the roof tattered, its panels dangling off.
"Peter, what is this place?" You ask, disgust apparent in your tone.
"It's my old home. We'll need to stay somewhere if we want to get more Lost Boys." He promptly explains, opening the creaking door, half broken with the lock unusable.
"Why's it so...messed up?"
"Well, I wasn't the richest person on the street, love." He chuckles, leading you upstairs, "We'll stay here tonight, then tomorrow, we'll start finding boys to take back." He opens the bedroom door, particles of sawdust from the aging bookshelf lingering in the air.
"Sorry, there's only one bed. I'll be sleeping on the couch."
"No, it's fine, you can stay with me." You blurt out; you always found him attractive, but you didn't want to ruin a perfectly healthy friendship over it. But somehow, he always found his way into your thoughts: from his perfectly toned arms to the way his eyes glimmered in the sunlight. You often caught yourself dreaming of something more with the boy, but for now, you stay quiet about it, and refuse to let yourself ruin your friendship.
"You sure, love?"
"Yeah, it's okay." You reassure him, keeping your actual thoughts a secret.
"Alright, well, we better get ready for bed. The stars are already out and I'm sure you're tired."
"Yeah, a little bit." You yawn, realizing your need to sleep. You plop onto the bed, reclining on the rickety springs and ragged blanket. Peter eventually lays next to you, wrapping the covers over the two of your bodies. A shattered window prevents you from being comfortable, a strong breeze swaying the ripped curtains next to you. You reflexively snuggle into Peter for warmth, not realizing your actions until afterwards, but before you can apologize and separate from him, he places his arm around your waist, preventing you from moving away. Though, if you're honest with yourself, you don't want to. A couple of minutes pass before Peter squirms, as if attempting to get away from you.
"You okay, Peter?" You ask, concerned for the boy.
"Yeah, I'm fine, it's just, um-" He coughs. Something pokes your lower back, and though you don't notice it at first, you soon begin to realize why Peter fidgeted so much. A giggle tumbles off of your lips, either from flattery or the sheer thought of Peter Pan, a 2,000 year old, immortal God, having a boner.
"W-what's so funny?" He stutters, a rather large blush present on his cheeks.
"You're adorable when you're embarrassed..." You mumble, staring into his eyes, "But you're also disgusting." You laugh it off, and he does the same, as you playfully hit him, earning a sincere chuckle from the boy. You teasingly roll away from him, and accidentally fall of the bed with a thud, a slight pain coursing through your body as you lay helplessly on the ground.
"(Y/N)! Are you okay?" He giggles with a slight hint of worry in his tone, his head peeking off of the bed.
"I'm fine, Peter." You grin, sitting, not feeling like standing up, "But I wouldn't have fallen if it wasn't for your raging boner." You mock him playfully.
"Well my raging boner wouldn't have happened if you weren't pressed up against me like that." He smiles at you, his cheeks slightly reddened, a different shade of red than before, less from embarrassment and more from attraction: the same shade that found itself on your face when every you looked into his eyes.
"So now this is my fault?" You question him with a smirk, knowing he doesn't truly mean his words.
"Mmhmm." He mumbles under his breath.
"You're such a piece of shit." Your face comes closer to his, feeling the warmth from his skin radiating onto yours.
"And yet you still love me, hm?" He grins deviously as if teasing you.
"Nope." You bluntly state, matching his facial expression.
"Admit it." He stares at you with those eyes that could force any secret out of your mouth.
"Okay, find." You give in, "I still love you."
"Good." He invites you back onto the bed, "Because I love you too." He wraps his arm around you as the two of you slowly drift to sleep together.
