Recoveries

I felt. different. I was cleaned and not in my own clothes. I jolted io and looked around to find myslef hooked up to several machines in a hospital bed. Victoria ran in her arm in a slang and grabbed my hand.

"Zoe its okay. we were found! your in the hospital." she reassured me.

"Who found us?" I asked

"A nearby hunter. He had been tracking that deer when he heard the shouting."

I paused. "Where is everyone? Where is Hayes!?!" I yelled.

"Cam had a sprained ankle he is getting it patched up. Nash and Carter are in the waiting room. Matthew is in recovery after sergary like you and......"

"Hayes?!" I asked worried

"They put Hayes in sergary 3 days ago he lost a lot of blood they couldn't replace and he hasn't woke up yet....they don't know if he 'll make it."

"no" I barely made it out. I started sobbing.

"I promised him we would be okay!! I PROMISED!"

Vic just held me in her arms while I cried.

"When can I see him?" I wondered.

"When you knee has recovered a little more from sergery. Tomorrow?"

"okay"

Just then Nash walked in and Vic left to go see Matt.

"How are you feeling?" he asked.

"How do you think?"

There was a moment of silence until I spoke.

"What did Hayes say to you when you spoke with him?"

"He thanked me for taking care of you. That you are his everything and wanted you to be safe. He also made me promise him if anything happened to him to make sure you made it."

I looked at Nash kissed him on the cheek and then he left. After I was finally alone I let go of all the pain inside me and soaked my pillow in tears.
