The perfect boyfriend

Chapter 9

A month had passed since Jihoon found that notebook. A month full of stress it was. The group has got so busy that the said boy never had time for his list or any other sort of destressing. Seventeen had to prepare for their next comeback which laid around the corner. Two weeks left, the fans were waiting and starting to get impatient. A month full of dance practice and vocal rehearsals. A month where they had 3 to 5 hours sleep per night max. STRESS, but they all loved it and wouldn't want to trade it for the world.

Jihoon often stared at the notebook, laying underneath his pillow all the time. He was still only at step 3; listening. The smaller had repeated step 1 and 2 every chance he could. Helping lifting stuff or meddling in English talks with Americaline. It was fun. Mingyu often wanted to wrestle, so did Soonyoung and Seokmin. Jisoo and Hansol still held weekly English classes and Jihoon immensely improved. He was studying, not only for his purpose to win over his crush. No, also for the fans. He would try to read what his fans were saying on socialmedia and laughed about it. The others on the other hand were laughing at his pronunciation.

Jihoon was starting to get happier by the day, even if he was still at step 3. His actions were being noticed. Noticed by him. Noticed by the person who mattered most. He often got complimented on his behaviour. Yes, this is what he wanted. This list was the outcome. The boys would have a day off tomorrow in which Jihoon finally got a chance to move forward. Time for step 3.

The boy had slept terrible. Since they had a free day coming up, they would be able to sleep more but since their busy schedule and lack of sleep, Jihoon just couldn't. He would constantly be awake after 1 or 2 hours and couldn't sleep again, or it just lasted super long to get to sleep again. He therefor decided to look up on how to be a good listener. Jihoon got out of bed and dressed himself, he didn't even care to put on pyjamas last night. He went towards his in-dorm studio and made himself some coffee while his computer was starting up.

''Allmighty Google, tell me. How does someone become a very good listener.'' The boy was somewhat giggling at himself. Never thought that he would be searching up something stupid like this. After 3 hours of searching, studying and scribbling notes, Jihoon fell asleep, face planted on this coffeemug. It was an hilarious sight to see. His nose fell right into the mug as the rest just rested on top of it. One hand holding the pen and the other on his lap. Not very long after, Jeonghan had stepped in and looked at the smaller boy in front of him. His hyung, how mean he could be sometimes, made pictures of the smaller and couldn't help but look at the desktop screen and scribbles. The boy frowned when he saw the tips on communication skills and listening. ''he could just have asked me?'' he had said and wanted to walk away again, if he didn't hear the following.

''Then teach me. I need it.'' Jihoon was talking back, still half asleep. Jeonghan closed the door and sat himself down at the chair next to the blonde who would dye his hair pink today.
The boys had talked all morning since it was 8am when Jeonghan found him and Jihoon started to understand. ''Nodding, repeating, yes or no, uhhu. That's really all it takes?'' the blonde couldn't believe his ears. He has been searching and taking notes all night and then his hyung makes it so easy to understand. ''That's what I do, and everyone says I am a very good listener. Besides, if you repeat what the other just said... it gets better in your memory too.'' Jeonghan smiled. The boys were practicing for another hour when Chan came into the room. ''Hyungs, the staff wants to dye your hairs now.'' The maknae, wrapped in towels got his hair done too. ''They just finished with my hair and you two are the last ones. I wanted to get you earlier but S. Coups hyung said you were busy.'' The boy finished talking and ran off again. Both had looked at each other and shrugged while laughing. ''Thankyou hyung,'' Jihoon had said. Jeonghan ruffled the youngers hair and pinched his cheeks before he walked away, smiling.
