The perfect boyfriend

Chapter 24

While Jihoon was taking care of Chan, Jeonghan was on another mission. The older was desperate to find out if Soonyoung liked our vocalking back. Soonyoung was considered or... well, made himself Seventeens prince, so Jeonghan joked about Jihoon being the VocalKing. It was subtle, but Jihoon knew the meaning after it. It earned a lot of mean glares.

However, Jeonghan is clueless on how to start this mission. He wanted to know if Soonyoung felt the same for the younger, be happy about it and not have to worry about them anymore. Ofcourse, he had seen signs of Soonyoungs affection for the younger... but he had to know it for sure. Soonyoung could be affectionate with more of the members, but it was always Jihoon in particular.

Jeonghan had another problem in the dorm. Seungcheol has been avoiding him ever since he burst in his room. Jeonghan had blurted out the kiss in such a haste but Cheols response was just too weird. He wanted to talk to him about it, but the leader was always or... too busy with things, or... in a hurry. But not this time. Seungcheol fell a little ill himself and therefor was resting in his shared room with Wonwoo. Jeonghan was on his way to the olders room but he isn't even sure what to ask. What is it even what he wants to know... why he reacted that weird? Probably... why he is avoiding him? I guess that too. What he can explain? Yeah, what can he explain? Jeonghans mind went wild and he accidently bumped into Soonyoung.

''Oh, sorry Soonie! I didn't see you!'' Jeonghan blurted out while apologizing. ''It's okay hyung! I wasn't paying attention too!'' Soonyoung giggles a bit while his blushes began to show. Jeonghan saw this and knew this was the great moment to investigate. ''oh? What were you thinking off that caught you off guard like this?'' the older asks him while putting an arm around his shoulder. ''Eh, that's ehmm... kind of personal I think. I did something not so really smart.'' The blushes began to show even more on the younger boy that was definitely showing signs of shyness. ''I am here if you want to talk about it okay?'' Jeonghan said a little sly, already knowing he would speak up.

You could clearly see what Soonyoung was thinking, his expressions are so well to read. 'Am I going to speak up or just shove it off like nothing happened.' Jeonghan didn't know that Seungcheol wasn't the only person avoiding someone. ''Well okay. Can you keep a secret?'' the boy spoke up. Gotya! Jeonghan began to smile. ''Sure soonie, shall we seek some privacy?'' Soonyoung nodded and walked after his hyung... walking to the rooftop where he had his first deep talk with Jihoon. It was now his time to share some feelings that he was dealing with.

The sun was shining bright today, even if it was getting colder these days. The sky looked a bit gloomy, there were signs of rain all over it, but the boys didn't have to be scared to get rained on since they were protected by the glass roof. It made it sometimes too hot to be there, but in times like this... the sun really made it a very comfy temperature. The two boys sat down on the grass, Soonyoung remembering the talks he had with the younger here.

"What is keeping your mind occupied?'' Soonyoung sighs and looks at his hands whom he was fiddling. ''You can rather ask who.'' Jeonghans eyes flew open, did Soonyoung share the same feeling after all? ''I don't know why he is avoiding me lately. Did I do something wrong?'' the boy began. ''Who is avoiding you Soonie?'' ''Jihoon is. After cleaning dorms with him and Minghao, he just... I don't know. He keeps avoiding me, even then was it a bit awkward. I thought we had fun! I mean of course, it was a bit awkward but why ignoring me? I thought we were best friends and...'' he sighs again. Jeonghan thinks. Ofcourse its awkward, you guys kissed just a few days ago. It must have felt super awkward for both of them. Jeonghan can still remember when the members all played truth or dare, and he had to kiss Jisoo on the lips. Even if it was just a minor second. Jeonghan felt really weird for several weeks and couldn't really face him, so he understands them both. The only difference is that Jeonghan doesn't feel any kind of attraction to Jisoo or any other of his members.

''Hmm, Soonie.'' Jeonghan hugs the younger. ''Do you maybe know why he is acting like this?'' Jeonghan knew ofcourse. ''Yeah, I think I know. But I thought It wasn't that much of a deal. Maybe he is just busy with things. I mean, he wouldn't just ignore me, right? He is just busy with songs... yeah that must be it.'' Soonyoung began to ramble, sweat forming on his forehead. He clearly was out of it. ''Soonie, is it because you two kissed?'' Shit, Jeonghan thinks. He promised not to tell. Soonyoungs eyes widen. ''How? Did Jihoon tell?'' ''No, I happen to see. Sorry. Might If I ask if its Jihoons first kiss? That could explain why he acts like this.''

This got Soonyoung blushing. ''Yeah, it was. Mine too. So, what do I do? I don't want him to ignore me forever.'' Jeonghan begin to giggle. ''Don't worry Soonie! Give the boy some time. He would never hate you forever.'' Soonyoung felt a fuzzy feeling in his stomach. The same feeling as when Jihoon and he kissed. ''Hyung? Can I ehh tell you another secret?'' He asks when he lets his head drop on the older his shoulder. Jeonghan nods, while humming in agreement... telling the younger that he can speak up. ''I think, I have a crush... no not a crush... its more, I think I am in love. I am sure of it... it has been like this for years now.'' The younger was panicking lots and therefor rambling again. ''Shh, I know.'' Jeonghan said carefully. ''And it's okay. You can't stop your feelings Soonie and they are very much valid.'' Soonyoung looked at Jeonghan. ''Y- You knew?'' ''Oh yeah, A lot of us suspect it, we all know who it is too. But it's okay, I don't think he knows.'' Jeonghan keeps calm and smiling, holding the younger. ''Just tell him.'' He winks.

After an hour, Jeonghan finally spoke some courage in the younger boy. Jeonghan had to spill a little tea, and he is a little ashamed he did that but Soonyoung feels a lot better now. He promised that he won't tell our little composer about the secret so Jeonghan could live. Now, it's finally time to confront Seventeens big leader; Seungcheol.

''YA!'' Jeonghan said while he is bursting into the eldest his room. ''Why are you avoiding me like I am some kind of plague!?'' Seungcheol was sleeping, with focus on WAS... Jeonghan came in loudly and smacked the door, closing it behind him. ''What the...'' the sleepy boy responded. ''You are avoiding me, and I don't like it at all Cheol, what is wrong with you?'' Seungcheol sat up from his previous stance and spoke up. ''You saw the kiss... which kiss did you see Han?'' This got Jeonghan thinking and utterly confused, it was their first, right? Then why is Seungcheol speaking like he knew about the kiss? Or... wait! Did he kiss someone?

''Cheol?'' Jeonghan sat next to him, smirking a bit. ''Did you perhaps kiss someone and hid it from me?'' Seungcheol sighs a bit. ''No, I didn't. But, since you ask and won't leave me alone if I don't tell... keep this between us.'' Jeonghan is excited. All these secrets today and he definitely knows how to play everyone. ''I promise!'' the younger says. ''When you said, 'I saw the kiss', I thought you meant Meanie and I thought that you knew that I knew. I didn't want to spoil their secret... but here I am, and I feel really bad about it now.'' The older explained. ''And that is why I avoided you, so that I didn't had to speak up.'' Jeonghans eyes widen by the second. There is a couple forming or already existing in their group? ''So... Are they like... dating?'' The younger asks while Seventeens leader nodded. ''Wow!" Jeonghan smiled. ''BUT YOU CAN'T TELL ANYONE!" Seungcheol said. Jeonghan smiled even wider. ''I promise.'' Seungcheol was happy that they have spoken it out, it was exhausting running away from Jeonghan. He is literally everywhere. ''But... Which kiss did you see, Han?'' Seungcheol was now curious himself and Jeonghan only winked and walked away. Mean... the eldest thinks.
