Young Love {Jungkook FF }

Part 11

We were both sitting in the car on our way back home while I was still thinking about everything that happened tonight. 

 ~flashback~

 I could feel all those stares on us as we approached the others who were dancing, and from the corner of my eyes I saw my parents' expecting stares too. Okay Jungkook, this is your chance so don't mess up! She was avoiding me and I don't blame her for it, but I have to at least apologize and try sorting it out. 

"I know that you hate me but I still need you to hear me out. I know that I made a terrible mistake by letting you go, I don't even know what was with me, but I need to say sorry for everything." 

"You didn't let me go Jungkook, you threw me out of our house without any mercy and told me to never appear in front of you ever again." Her voice was calm and quiet but I could feel the cold radiating from her even though she still had a smile plastered on her face. 

"I know. I'm such an idiot for taking you for granted and ever hurting you, I would turn back time if I could and make it right. I messed up so much when it took me months to realize the gravity of my mistake because you were already long gone by then and I couldn't go to your parents to ask them." 

She was quiet but I knew that she tried not to show how hurt and angry she was at the moment, so I used this chance to talk. "I know you hate me and won't forgive me but I'm really sorry. My life was like hell ever since you left and there was no second I didn't regret it or stopped punishing myself for what I did. I don't want your pity but every time the hyungs would accidentally mention your name in front of me I could see the guilt in their eyes, and it breaks me apart. I'd lie if I said that I don't want 'us' back but I know that's not possible, so I'm asking you to stay friends if it's okay." 

Her face was showing confusion and hurt but her features softened and she finally spoke up. "I don't hate you, I couldn't hate someone who was my entire life for over twenty years no matter how much I want to. Right now you're just someone I used to know. After you broke 'us' apart and shattered my heart to a million pieces I had to learn not to give up and move on. It took me time but slowly I managed to grow a new heart and find my happiness, but you are not part of it.

 You can't imagine how much I wanted to forget that day, no, the whole year ever since I saw traces of lipstick on your clothes but I can't. Those shards that you left back are still there and I can't remove them, but I've learned to live with them and they made me the woman who I'm right now." She was looking deep into my eyes and I couldn't stop admiring those two hazel orbs, not realizing how close we were to each other.

"And as for being on friendly terms, I guess, I mean I already broke my plan of never talking to you again." 

"S-so we're okay? I mean we won't avoid each other like the pest anymore and we talk again?" 

"I guess, but don't expect much, I'm still not comfortable around you." A small smirk formed on my lips as I realized our position, my hand tightly wrapped around the lower part of her back and our noses almost touching. 

"You do realize what we look like right now, right?" 

"Of course I do! We look like what everyone expects us to look like, the perfect married couple in love." Her answer took me by surprise and I was left speechless. This here was not the Y/N I knew. My Y/N would have blushed like crazy right now and would've already tried to get away, not act like this. Damn, this woman made me want her even more now, if that's possible at all! 

The guys were still shocked when we finally sat back down at the table, eyeing us weirdly before Taehyung spoke up. "So...umm...are you two like, a thing again?" 

"You serious? Woah, looks like your acting skills improved a lot." She turned to me looking almost amused at what she was just told. 

"We're on friendly terms but nothing more, okay? I couldn't watch you feel guilty when accidentally mentioning her name in front of me anymore." 

"Thank god, I thought Y/N fell on her head or something. You know that for being only friends you looked pretty intimate earlier." 

"You out of all people should know that feeding them with something like this will lead to people leaving you alone for a while Jin." 

"Wow Y/N, I never knew you had that in you! The states really changed you into a whole new person and I like the new you." The evening got a lot better, but of course someone had to ruin it. 

"Y/N darling!" 

"Yes mom?" 

"Mrs. Jeon told me that they'll stay over at your place tonight, she wants to spend more time with you." 

"W-what?! Does Jungkook know about her plan?" 

"I don't think so." 

"But I can't leave my babies." 

"You have to, your dad and I will be there for the kids. They will leave tomorrow afternoon so you'll just have to stay for one night." 

"Fine, but I'll have my phone turned off, I can't risk getting a call while being there." 

...

"We need to talk." 

"Okay, what's wrong?" 

"Your parents are staying at our house, did you know that?" 

"They what?!" 

"Yeah, mom just heard from your mother." 

"They told me they'd go back home since dad has a meeting tomorrow." 

~flashback end~

 The house was still the same from when I left, and I could still spot a few of our photos on the walls which I thought he would have already destroyed. "Oh my, the house looks so empty and clean, almost like nobody lived here!" 

"Yeah, since Y/N is often oversees and I'm all day at the office working." 

"He sometimes even stays overnight in his office when he gets too caught up in his work and forgets about time." 

"Son, you should spend more time with your wife instead of your work!" 

"I know dad, but someone has to do the work too, I can't just leave the company manage itself." 

"Enough about work, I'm tired and you must be too so would you show us the guest room?" 

"Come mom, I'll take your bag and show you to your and dad's room." 

"Good night eomoni and abeoji." 

"Good night darling." As they disappeared up the stairs I stayed down still letting the fact sink in that I'm back here, all memories coming back like flashes of a movie. 

"You staying down here?" I shook my head and followed him to the room we used to share back then, the room we'd share again tonight. "You can shower first, I'll go get some of the clothes you left back for you." I nodded and went into the spacious bathroom to attempt and wash off all the stress.

He was sitting on the bed waiting for me to be done, and when I came out with only a towel wrapped around my petite frame his heart stopped for a second. "You can go now." 

"Okay, here are the clothes I found." 

It was weird wearing his white shirt again but luckily there was a tank top and some sweatpants too to wear with it, I don't think I could stay just in a shirt. As I looked around everything seemed empty and dark, almost depressing since everything was black like the silky black sheets on the bed. The life that this room had once was all gone, no red flowers, no ivory carpet, no books and photo frames, nothing. 

I remember how it used to be full with clothes laying around, speakers and drawings all over the floor and controllers hanging from the table. The bathroom door opened revealing him in a similar outfit as mine with a towel on his head while he was drying his still damp hair.

 It was awkward. I'd take the sofa if there was one but nope, and it was still too cold to be able to sleep on the floor so the bed was the only option. Looks like the night will be a long one too.
