Part 21

After I finished talking to Jungkook and Tae on the phone I called Emma's home where the twins were, to ask if they could stay longer and luckily they could. Jungkook said that he would make dinner so I felt somewhat relieved, but as far as I remember he could only make ramyeon...and Tae is worse. As much as I would like to worry now was not the time for it, the quicker I finish this work the sooner I can go home...and eat. I'm starving since I didn't have time to eat all day because of work, and my stomach is slowly disappearing into thin air.

It was almost 8 pm when I finally got off work and since I told the kids that we would eat dinner at home they probably already feel hungry. I made a quick call to tell them to get ready before finally leaving my workplace and going home calling it a week. 

The day was so hectic that I totally forgot about the big packet that I got this morning before leaving to work. I didn't have time to check the sender, and I also forgot the date, the only thing I had on my mind was work...and maybe some worries about tonight.

Junghyun and Seohyun were already outside waving when they saw the car approach, and quickly jumped inside when I stopped wanting to tell me about their day.

"Mommy, today we had to draw a picture at kindergarden!"

"Really Bunny, that's great! And what did you draw?"

"I drew mummy!" He was smiling brightly and couldn't wait to get home and put his drawing on the fridge door.

"Really? I can't wait to see it. And you princess?"

"I drew a bunny!"

"Awww...I'm sure it's amazing."

"Mommy, what is for dinner?" "Yeah, I'm hungryyyy..."

"I don't know baby, uncle Tae is helping with the food. Oh, and I told you that we would have a guest, remember?"

"Mhmmm..." 

"Our guest is helping uncle Tae cook something yummy for us."

Loud cheers echoed trough the car as the kids celebrated their well deserved meal and I couldn't help but giggle at their cuteness.

The lights were on in the living room and the kitchen so I knew that they were at home, and after parking the car into the garage we made our way to the front door. "We're back~!"

Quiet music echoed trough the room and I could hear someone humming to it, while the smell of food spread in the living room.

"Kids, go to your room, change into some other clothes and wash your hands before dinner, okay?"

"Yes mommy~" Footsteps were heard running down the hallway before a head popped out behind the door to the dining area. "Oh, hey Y/N!"

"Hi Tae!" I went trough the living room following the smell of food until I got to the dining room and caught a glimpse of the tall figure standing with his back to me washing his hands at the sink. The table was already set and packed with different kinds of food while Tae was setting glasses beside every plate. "Hey Kook!"

He turned around and gave me one of his signature bunny smiles before taking off the apron he wore and coming out from behind the open kitchen. "Hi. Are you hungry?"

"I'm starving and I really hope for you that your food is as tasty as good it smells." His smile became even brighter making his eyes disappear into wrinkles. 

"Go wash your hands and then we can eat. Where are the kids?"

"They went to change and wash hands, they should be here any second so I'll just wash my hands here." Jungkook nodded quickly before falling silent and starting to fidget around. "Y/N~?" "Hmm?"

"Do you think they'll like me...? Should I give them the presents before or after the dinner??" I don't think I ever saw him as nervous as now, and I had to bite back a laugh at his sight, so I put my arm on one of his shoulders and tried to calm him. "Don't worry, they will love you, I'm sure. The presents can wait till later but I have to warn you first, and need you to promise to not freak out, okay?"

"Why would I freak out? Is there something that could freak me out?!"

"Kookie, calm down, there is nothing for you to worry about, in fact I think that what you're about to see will be to your liking..."

"What do you mean?" Before I could answer loud giggles erupted in the living room when the kids saw their uncle Tae on the couch and attacked him with hugs.

"Come on kids, let's go eat, we don't want to let this yummy dinner get cold, do we? Oh, and first come and meet our guest. Kook, come over~"

JK POV:

As soon as Y/N asked me to go over to the other room my hands started sweating profusely, but I tried to keep my cool which I probably failed as soon as I saw the twins. I was grateful for Y/N standing beside me and the sofa being just in front of me so I could sit down before my knees gave up and I embarrassed myself. 

"Bunny, Princess introduce yourselves~" 

"Hello, my name is Junghyun, I'm four years old and I like drawing." "My name is Seohyun, I'm also four and I like bunnies. Ahjusshi~ what is your name?"

I think the cat got my tongue, my throat went dry and the longer I looked at the twins the bigger the lump in my throat got. My brain was working like crazy as things started slowly making sense and I felt lost, looking at Y/N for help. "H-Hi...umm my name is Jungkook. I like drawing a lot too ...and people often tell me that I look like a bunny..."

"Mommy, ahjusshi looks like me! He even has big eyes!" Junghyun's eyes grew big as he was inspecting my face, making me even more nervous, until his sister spoke up.

"Jungie you dummy, he can't look like you. Ahjusshi is older, you know, so you look like him and not the other way!...But, mommy?" Seunghyun turned to Y/N and whispered something in her ear which made her smile from ear to ear before she took her in her arms and turned to Bunny who was already chatting with Tae about his day.

"Bunny come on, the food is getting cold. You don't want Jungkook and Tae to be sad that their food got to waste."

He jumped up taking one of my hands and one of Tae's before dragging us to the table. "Go, go, go! I'm dying out of hunger~" I couldn't help but laugh at his cuteness as he reminded me of myself when I was younger. When he saw the table full with food his eyes grew even bigger and shone, mouth hanging open before he started jumping up and down excitedly.

We sat down at the table, Y/N taking the head with the twins on each of her sides, leaving us take the seats beside the kids. Seohyun tapped the chair beside her signalling me to sit beside her, smiling cutely at me while swinging her legs under the chair. 

The dinner was better than I would have expected and the kids were very open and chatty so it didn't feel awkward. After eating Tae went back home while I washed the dishes, previously convincing Y/N to go shower and change out of her work clothes, when someone pulled on my shirt. I looked down at the little girl who was grinning widely back at me before lifting her arms up for me to take her. "Daddy, I want to help too~"

"Daddy? You already figured out? No wonder, you're just like your mommy, beautiful and very smart~" She threw her arms around my neck and smiled before her eyebrows crushed together and a frown appeared. "Daddy, where were you until now? Why didn't you come visit us?"

"I know that I missed out a lot Princess and I'm sorry, it's just that mommy was here and I live back in Seoul where I have my own company. I didn't visit you because I didn't know where you live and your mommy thought that it would be better if I didn't come. But now I'm here and I hope that you can forgive me and accept me in the family.

"Of course daddy, but you have to promise to never leave us again...okay?" She held her pinky finger up waiting for me to do the same. 

"Promise Princess. Even if you want me to leave you I won't, now you're stuck with me!" I tickled her and she giggled while trying to get away from my hands, both totally forgetting about the dirty dishes in front of us...
