"Happy Birthday!" the crowd of four all cheered.

Slade smiled at his mother who held the cake and brought it towards him at an odd angle. Confused, he inspected it closer and saw at the back of it, his mother was trying to hide a slice that was already missing.

Chuckling, he turned to the group behind her and looked for a pair of hazel brown eyes.

"Ahem." he crossed his arms and gave her a look.

Arianna stared boldly at Slade for a minute before her lip quivered.

"I'm so sorry! But I wanted some cake and mommy wouldn't let me and you were taking so long...Happy birthday?" she looked up to her older brother, a sheepish expression on her face.

"Come here." Slade said with a stern voice.

Her expression fell and her head instantly bowed as her little feet walked towards him.

Slowly he bent down on one knee and leaned forward until his head was next to Arianna's ear.

"That was my cake Arianna." he whispered before nearly taking all the frosting off the cake and wiping it on her face. Slade chuckled at her adorable face as she squealed and ran back behind their mother.

Tori, his 19 year old sister came up from behind him and said "Well since you want cake..." she trailed off before suddenly dumping some frosting on Slade's head "Then you can have it!"

His family laughed at his expression.

Guess he should've seen that coming.

Tori snickered, a bad choice since she should've taken that time to escape.

"Bad choice sis!" he said, heading for the now semi ruined cake. Tori squealed before attempting to run away, tripping over Arianna in the process. Slade heard her footsteps head downstairs but he wasn't about to let her get away that easily.

He ran up to his mother, grabbed some cake and set Arianna on her feet before jogging off after Tori. Then Slade suddenly paused at the head of the stairs and looked back into the room where his parents stood and little Arianna wiping the frosting off her face. He thought that this would be an ideal moment and only time he could get away with it.

He quickly ran back into the room and stood in front of his mother; "Hey mum, I'm sorry." he told her, eyes twinkling mischievously.

"Sorry about what dear?" She questioned with a tilt of her head.

"This!" Slade bought his hand up and smeared the cake all over her face.

His mother gasped and he took the opportunity to grab the rest of the cake before he ran down the stairs. He could hear his dad's loud laugh echo through the house while his mother mumbled something about acting his age.

Snickering, Slade headed out the door - following his sisters scent which trailed into the woods. Not the most original place to hide, he thought.

With cake ammunition in his hands, he softly stepped forward. Tori wasn't that hard to find, especially since his sister couldn't keep quiet even if her life depended on it. He saw her behind a tree, trying to muffle her giggles.

"Toriiii come out, come out wherever you are!" He teased shifting toward her.

She turned her head, spotting her brother before sprinting in the opposite direction. Slade started to chase after her and was almost upon his sister before he turned around just in time to see a grey and white wolf jump in his path. The wolf tried to pin Slade down but he quickly ducked under while trying hard not to drop the cake as the wolf leaped over him.
