I can't get You out of my head! (On Hold)

4.5 Interlude

Someone has been a little concerned about the way that Jon and Jacob were acting in the last chapter. I'm not going to show the whole chapter from Jons point of view, but I will show you those interactions that Frederic reacted to.

Jon PoV

After the King gestures to the conference table, I try not to stumble my way over there. "Keep calm Jon!" I mumble to myself as I try to hook the tablet up to the screen. Jacob, that bastard, hears me mumble and sees me fidget and decides to come over and fuck with me.

"Do you need help, or are you capable of breaking that poor tablet all by yourself ?" He snickers. "Fuck off man!" I laugh with him and push his shoulder with mine.

"Should we stop horsing around and get to work?" My King sounds a little short of temper. But I guess that suddenly having all this responsibility thrust upon ones shoulders would be hard for anyone our age.

Jacob apologises and King Frederic sits down and starts the meeting.

"I would like to hear if you have had time to put a little thought into my image? My father always said that our royale image is the most important thing in the world!" At this, a weird little smile plays on his lips. It dosn't look like his thoughts are something to smile about.

Coincidentally I had a stray thought when I entered his newly re-decorated office and I grab Jacobs wrist. "I have an idea! This office has been re-decorated and I'm pretty sure that..." 

"Would you care to share Mr. Erikson?" If my King keeps up this authoritative tone for much longer,  I'm not sure that my pants will stay on. Danmit Jon! This is SO not the time!

Trying to look like I'm here to do my actual job I answer "I noticed, when we entered the office, that you have had it re-decorated my Rex. It has a very modern and controlled feel now and I wondered if that was your choice?"

After a nod and a smile from him I continue. "Then if this is truly your style and how you feel comfortable, my idea is, that we take this feeling and transfer it to your overall image too." I write down notes on the tablet while I speak, so the others can follow along with my thought process. "I propose that we get some photos shot here in this office after the coronation, along with a very exclusive press conference with no more than eight or ten journalists, where you answer a few questions just to give the people a feel for their new King!"

My King is positive to the idea and wants to use this theme for his coronation too. And I even got myself a smile! Good job Me! Jacob grabs the tablet and stylus so he can start working on the coronation plans and I lean back for a couple of minutes to pull myself together.
