After releasing Frederic and Jon, I can't seem to shake the feeling that maybe Freddy weren't quite ready to be let out just yet. I've never seen him smile the way he did, when I opened the Panic Room door and found him with Jon's head on his lap. I don't think that Freddy even knows this himself, but it would seem that his feelings for Jon has evolved a bit beyond "liking" him.
As I ride my bike home after debriefing with the security team, my mind keeps turning over the "situation" that is Jon Erikson. I know that he has been on Freddy's radar since day one and I know that Freddy is developing feelings for Jon. Feelings that he has not felt for anyone else in a long time, if ever. And it would seem that Jon is not totally unaffected by Freddy either, if the position I found them in is any indicator.
But I also know for a fact, that Jon has not told Freddy about his lifestyle. And that could pose some problems. First and foremost, the mantra of "Communication! Communication! Communication!" is beaten into the head (or ass) of everyone who has trained at Sarge's club, both Dom and Sub. My concern is, that if Jon is not communicating this to Freddy, how serious could he be about my friend? And if Jon chooses to wait to tell Freddy until later, will Freddy feel cheated or hurt for not knowing this beforehand. This is an integral part of Jon's life, how much would it hurt my friend not knowing that his love interest is into BDSM? Would it be a dealbreaker for Frederic and in that case would it be something that Jon was willing to give up for their relationship?
I shake my head as I kick the stand down on my bike and turn of the motor. All these thoughts and for what? A relationship that doesn't even involve me. I laugh a little.
As I get to my door, I hear something rustling by the garbage cans. I decide to check out the noise just to make sure that no intruders are hiding. There aren't, but what I see still has me cussing up a storm.
Who in their right mind would dump a kitten in a cardboard box right by the garbage cans? The little thing is clearly alive and looks fairly healthy. So why put the poor creature out with the trash? Investigating further, I even find a litter box and a full bag of kitty litter. Someone really didn't want their pet after all.
Making a quick decision, I grab the kitten, litter box and kitty litter and bring everything inside with me. I'll take it to the adoption-center tomorrow. And until then it'll stay the night with me. Getting inside, I put down the kitten and arranges it's litter box in the bathroom, then dumping the kitten in the sand, to show her where to do her business, yes I checked when I picked her up again.
After washing my hands, I decide that a late dinner would be in order. To make it easy for myself, I go for a tuna sandwich and share some of the tuna with the kitten. It's really funny seeing her try to eat the fish directly from the can and almost getting her head stuck. And even more fun to see her jump when I laugh out loud, making me laugh even more.
This crazy little thing reminds me of the cat my grandmother had when I was a kid. It was called Killing, apparently that means kitten in her mother-language. But that thing took it's name seriously and was the meanest hunter on the block. Maybe this cat will end up the same, I can at least help her with the cool name.
"Well Killing, I've had a crazy day and I just want a shower and go to bed. Tomorrow we'll se to it that you go to the adoption-center where you'll get adopted by a really nice family." The kitten looks at me like she's listening to me, then rubs her face on my leg and leaves to explore my apartment.
I shrug my shoulders at the cat and jump into the shower. A lot of hot water and round with my toothbrush later, I'm ready to let myself sink into my lovely bed. But it seems like I'm not the only one who thinks that the bed is amazing, because Killing is lying in the middle of the bed looking like this is where she has always slept.
"Ok ok, you little devil. I'll let you get away with it for tonight." I sigh "Tomorrow you're out anyway. And after I take care of you, I need to have a serious talk with that Jon Erikson." I tell the kitten as I plop my head on my pillow and get under my covers. There's never truly rest for the wicked I yawn to myself before drifting off to sleep.
