Vol 2 - Chapter 7 - Another One?

Author Note: So I was busy, and yeah...

The story:

There were 2 people clapping, they both gave no killing intent whatsoever, and I couldn't sense them.

“To think that one of the Demon Generals could be defeated” a woman speak.

“He even absorbed all those humans” a Man speak.

Those voices, I sure I have heard them before, it was those 2 couples that lent me a room and took me down to the prison. They weren't that strong, why can't I sense them, those 2 were standing there, why aren't their aura detectable to me.

One of them could use a dark type magic, if I’m not wrong, Illusion was one of them. They're not here, those are just illusion, perhaps the Map could tell me where they are.

I looked at the map, ignoring those 2 illusion. I found out where they are, and they're quite far, but, if I ran toward them they'll run away being unscratched.

I guess destroying a few tree is fine. I need to see their reaction if I attack toward them. Seeing their reaction, will give me information if, they're a threat to me or not.

I took a sword laying on the ground, as a rapier is not for slashing. I face toward the illusion, gathers a huge amount of mana onto the sword. They were grinning, as if they weren't going to get injured whatsoever, and I turned toward their real location. They flinched, but they never thought that the energy could reach them from the distance. Like in a certain series, I slashed the sword downward, and release the energy that's beaming with golden color. It went and destroyed a bunch of tree and chipped some of the mountains. Before that, I saw their expression changing drastically from smug, and now fear, as predicted, they're trying to run from the beam.

Seeing their reaction, they may be a threat, but not as much as if they deflect the beam. Ah… both of them are still alive, seems they're were dragged by the beam, I think that will do for them, they’ve sustain enough damage from that attack alone. Oh they're going further away from me, it seems like that was the case.

On the other side, Haru was looking at me dumbfounded, she was speechless. “What was that?” She asked, tugging my clothes, to get my attention, “I never seen someone could do that…”

Well the magic I used are the ones that doesn't need any chanting, and every output is the figment of my imagination. Is it really rare to see people with this kind of magic? The goddess said that there are 2 type of magician here, the one that chants and the one that didn't, but seeing from her reaction alone, it looks like there isn't anyone able to do that, as of her information.

“So there's no one that could do magic without chanting?” I asked, and she seems more shock than before.

“You mean that was a… those are ancient magic from the time of Gods, our magic derived from that, but even after centuries, there weren't anyone who could achieve that, even the demon lord…”

So basically, I’m the only one who could use this now? Why didn't she told me beforehand… if the Goddess told me before hand, I could have hide it and all…

“Could you not tell anyone about this?” I ask.

“Of course I won't!” She stated, “Nee-sama, there's also something that I want to tell you, it isn't necessary for a succubus, you could actually fly without them…” she continues.

“You mean I could fly without wings?” I asked, and I tried to fly and succeed to my surprise, but the speed is lacking though.

“But the speed decrease in an insane amount, that would be bad for an excessive maneuver, although it would decrease my hitbox.”

“I was wondering, where did those 2 disappear to?” She asked, seems she didn't notice them.

“They already escape” I replied.

“but I never seen them going anywhere, and they just disappeared like that?” she asked tilting her head.

“What you see before were illusion of them, so they disappeared fast if the caster panicked or dead” I replied.

“If you say they’ve escape, why weren't we chasing after them?” She asked.

“Because those damage were enough to warn them” I replied.

“So that attack was aimed toward them?” She asked.

“Yes, although it destroyed a few tree, they were injured because of that.”

“...” She looks at the damage that have been done, “that is not something a normal person would withstand”.

“They're probably the same as that man” I said as pointing toward the dead chief.

“So what are you going to do now?” Haru asked.

“We're going to Empire, because I could not let you go to other country, or even the Demon Kingdom.” I said.

“Wait you're going to the Demon Kingdom?” She asked.

“Yes, that was my destination to begin with.” I said.
