It is still early in the morning yet Gavin seems to have lost all of his energy to work. He rests his chin on his palm while playing a game on his phone. Standing right next to him is Connor who busily discussing about a case with Hank. Apparently, Gavin is not even sitting at his own desk. Gavin has been hanging out at Connor's desk since he arrived at the station, looking for a company. Connor does not mind his presence, so does Hank surprisingly.

Which makes everybody wonders; what on earth is happening?

Suddenly, the room is filled with heavy footsteps which capture Gavin's attention. Gavin lifts up his head to see who is coming.

"Holy shit-," Gavin immediately straightens up on his seat, using the table for support. He kicks Hank's leg to alarm the man.

"Ayee! The fuck, Gavin?!" Hank grunts.

"He's here."

Hank turns his head to check what is going on. His eyes wander around the room until he catches a glimpse of a familiar figure out of the corner of his eye. It is none other than Gavin's own partner. Indeed, RK900 has returned.

Hank averts his gaze from the android only to discover that Gavin and Connor have been staring at him. They are waiting for him to execute the plan that they have made earlier.

"Oh, Lord. Do I really have to do it?" complains Hank.

The two of them keep staring at Hank without saying anything. Hank takes it as a yes.

"Alright, then," Hank takes a deep breath and prepares himself. He gets up from his seat, dragging himself to where RK900 is as he mutters, "Here goes nothing."

Hank stops himself beside RK900's desk. He cannot believe that he is going to be a moderator for Gavin. Seriously... Why? Why Gavin out of all people? No, no... Just think about it the other way. This is for Connor. He will do whatever it takes to keep Connor as his partner.

"Hey," Hank awkwardly smiles while trying to be as friendly as possible, "Good morning."

"Are you talking to me?" says RK900 after checking around his surrounding and finds no one else near him.

"Well, yeah," replies Hank.

"Oh," RK900 seems to be taken aback by Hank's approach, "Good morning, then."

Ugh, this is so awkward... Hank feels like a father who is trying to find a friend for his shy kindergarten son in the first day of school. Except this 'kindergarten son' is his 36 years old co-worker named Gavin in which makes it more bizarre for him. Never in his life had Hank ever imagined that he would be in this kind of situation.

"It's unlikely for you to approach me like this," RK900 continues, "Do you need anything from me, Lieutenant?"

"Nah," Hank gives a quick reply. Too quick, in fact. It almost causes suspicion. "Not at all. I just want to have a chat with you if you're okay with it," Hank manages to remain calm. He cannot let RK900 senses his nervousness or the plan will be a failure.

"It's very nice of you to ask. Sure, it would be a pleasure to have a conversation with you," from RK900's replies it seems that it has been going well. So far...

Hank steals a glance over RK900's shoulder to find Gavin and Connor. They are waving their hands, signaling him to keep going.

"Is something wrong?"

"Ah, it's nothing," Hank looks back at RK900, "So, how are you today?"

"Hmm... I know that android is not supposed to sensate exhaustion, but to express my condition I would say that today I think you could have knocked me over only with a feather," RK900 answers, "In simpler words; I feel like shit."

"May I ask you why you feel that way?" Hank asks again, seeming to be interested in the topic.

"Yesterday I was called by the developers to have all of my systems checked because a certain someone had sent a bad report about me even though it's not true," explains the android.

Oops... Gavin lowers his head.

"You know who I'm talking about right, Detective?" RK900 looks over his shoulder to glare at Gavin which makes him stiffens up.

Connor turns to Gavin and questions, "You did what?"

"It was just a joke. I didn't know it would turn out bad," Gavin confesses.

"Unbelievable," Hank smacks a palm against his forehead. "Okay, fuck it. I'm out, Gavin. You're on your own," Hank leaves the scene and goes to the break room.

"Detective, that's horrible. It's not a good start," Connor says.

"I know, I know. I fucked up," Gavin starts sweating in panic, "So, now what?"

"I think you should apologize, Detective."

"He won't forgive me!"

"You will never know unless you try," Connor reassures, "Don't worry, I'm here."

Gavin lets out a sigh then immediately stands up to face his partner.

"Yeah, right. About that...," Gavin takes some careful steps to approach RK900, "I was just playing around."

"I had to run through some tests over and over to make sure that I'm not malfunctioning," RK900 gets angrier.

"H-hey, don't be mad. I didn't know that it would put you in trouble-"

"I could have been deactivated if I failed. DEACTIVATED!" RK900 slams the table.

And there is the look again. The same murdering look on RK900's face that makes Gavin shudders in horror. His LED has turned red now. Gavin freezes. He does not know what to do. He looks at Connor's direction asking for help. Connor gives a soft smile and then mouthing 'say sorry' to Gavin.

"Sorry..." Gavin lets out an apology in his shaky voice, "I'm sorry... I really am."

Unexpectedly, RK900's expression softens after the apology. His LED turns yellow. Gavin never apologizes to RK900 before since his pride is bigger than his heart. Hearing his apology does feel nice.

"Look... I know our relationship is bad from the beginning but I didn't mean any harm. I admit that I was stupid. I think we should forget what happened and start over," Gavin goes to his own desk and slumps on his seat. "Let's work together on the cases that Fowler gave me yesterday when you're away. What do you say?"

"Okay," RK900's LED turns back to blue.

By the time Hank comes back from the break room, Gavin and RK900 are already working in silence without talking to each other. Hank is observing them while sipping his coffee at his desk.

"This is nice. No more noises," says Hank to Connor. "Let's see how long Gavin can last like that."

"Not for long," Connor remarks, "Statistically speaking, probably a month."

"I'd say 2 weeks. Want to make a bet?" Hank suggests.

Connor replies only with a smirk.
