Damian's pov

Y/N and I are currently walking on a beach under the moonlight. She has organized a trip in Europe for the two of us. We went to England, France, Italy, Greece, Germany, Spain and we're finally in Portugal - our last destination. 

I have the feeling of living a dream. I know that because of my past, people see me as a cold and dangerous man. A heartless man who will do anything in his power to reach his goals, even if it  means hurting others. 

Even my father told me back then to be more compassionate toward others. Me being Robin I couldn't do what my grand-father and mother had taught me. I was struggling to find myself. I was teared apart between two opposite ways of life. 

I knew that what people were saying about was true, and I didn't care. 

But then I met Y/N. And I began to question myself about my actions. 

And then she has accepted to be my girlfriend and finally I have found peace. I'm not teared apart between my mother's teaching and my father's. I have found myself. I'm finally happy to be who I am. 

The past is the past. 

I'm ready to draw a line under it. 

Your pov

Damian and I are walking on a beach under the moonlight. We are in Portugal, our last destination of our trip. 

He is holding my hand as we walk. I watch the water running toward our bare feet. I sigh of happiness. 

Years ago, I would have never thought that something like that was possible. Years ago I thought that I'll die before my 20 because of my life choices. 

But here I am, with the love of my life, my lifebelt, my everything. I would like to go in the past to talk to me when I was younger. To say to her that everything will be okay at the end, that we have a right to have an happy ending. 

I look at him. He seems in deep thoughts. I squeeze his hand lightly. He looks up at me. I nod toward the ocean. 

" Come on " I say happily. 

I run toward the water, dragging him with me. We still have our clothes on but I don't care. Our hotel is not far from here anyway. 

Water splashes at each steps. I let his hand go and jump into the water. It's cold but I feel alive. I swim away from the beach. 

 " Y/N, wait for me " I hear Damian screams behind me. 

I stop and watch  him swim toward me. Suddenly he disappears behind a wave. 

 " Damian ? " 

But there are only me, the ocean and the moon. Suddenly I feel something grabbing my left ankle. I scream, frighten before seeing Damian coming out of the  water, laughing. 

I punch his chest lightly " Idiot " I laugh " You scared me "

He smiles before kissing me. I let him invade my lips and mouth. 

We swim back to the beach. After reaching the sand, I let myself fall on it. it sticks to my wet clothes and skin. Damian falls at the top of me. 

We look at each other. 

Oh god I'm so in love with him. 

I kiss him. He kisses back immediately. We roll on the sand. I'm on top now. Still kissing, he sits down, making me straddling his hips. 

 " Y/N " he says between our kisses. " Y/n ? "

I'm little out of breath. " Yes ? " I whisper

He takes my face between his hands and looks into my eyes with so much love. 

 " Marry me "
