Chapter 31

Damian's pov

I'm like a ghost.

Pale face, dark circle under my eyes.

I pass my nights walking on the roofs of Gotham as Robin, looking for her.

This night, it's raining.

I'm already soaked to the skin.

I'm sitting on a roof, overlook a dark street which has for only light the red neon of a club. Loud music can be heard from my point of view.

I was about to leave, when the door of the club opens. A couple go out. The man has a arm around the waist of the young woman.

She seems drunk and the man takes advantage of it, pinning her against the wall to kiss her roughtly.

I see her struggle under his grip.

I feel already the rage growing in my chest as I run to the security stair. I reach the ground and punch the man on the jaw.

'' She doesn't seem to want it '' I said harshly.

He looks at me, tries to punch me but I dodge it easily.

I punch him again. He falls back, looking at me with horror before running away.

I turn my gaze on the young woman who has stay silent, lean against the wall during all the little fight.

'' Are you okay ? '' I ask as I come toward her.

'' D-da-damian ? ''

I don't know how she knows me. I can't see her clearly because of the darkness. I take my flashlight and turn on.

Then I understand what my eyes are looking.

'' Y-y-y/n ?''

She doesn't look like her. She is dress with a black dress with long sleeves. Her hair are messy. Her eyes are tired. She is drunk. And she was with a man.

And I know he wasn't the first.

What did she do to herself ?

I take her in my arms ,burring my face in her neck.

'' I was worry sick Y/N'' I said almost crying. '' I didn't stop looking for you. Why did you leave? I can explain why I said those words ''

She doesn't return my hug.

'' I'm so sorry Y/N. I so sorry. I didn't mean it. I swear. Please come back ''

I hug her tightly. How a girl could mess with my heart like that ?

'' I love you '' I wishepered.

Y/N pov

He said it.

He said these three words.

These words which make my heart beats.

I would like to say them back. I would like to hug him too. I would like to come back.

But I love him and I know if I come back, I'll give him only sadness and problems.

I'm so sorry Damian. Trust me, I'm really sorry.

I puch him, looking down.

'' Forget me ''

And I leave him, frozen in the street.

I run, run ,run until I don't have a breath.

And I cry, falling in my knees.

Then she knows Robin ? Intresting. 

I'm sure her daddy wants to know it.
