Nosey me decided to stay at the top of the stairs to eavesdrop. Sam, Colby and Corey were downstairs in the kitchen having a conversation about me. "I've seen the way you look at her dude. You've liked her since Kansas" I heard Sam say. "Brother, like you need to make a move on her. Now's the perfect time because you live in the same house!" Corey chimed in. "I know! But what if she doesn't like me back?" Colby replied.
I decided to walk downstairs because I heard Sam start to head to his room. He greeted me as I passed by him. Corey went to go play Rocket League and Colby stayed in the kitchen. As I got water Colby came up to me and asked, "Hey Jade! Uh can we talk later? I want to ask you a question". "Oh yeah, sure. Just let me know when." I replied. After I went up to my room and fell asleep.
The next morning the guys decided to go explore an abandoned hospital. They invited me to go and I accepted.
It was about 5:30 and we were supposed to leave for the hospital around 6:30. I decided to get ready and change. After about 20 minutes I finally made my decision on what to wear,

I started to head downstairs but realized I forgot my phone on the charger. As I went to go get my phone, I got a text from Colby. ——————————————————————— Colby: Hey can you come to my room? Jade: sure. i'm on my way Colby: Thanks

I walked over to Colby's room and knocked on his door. He yelled for me to come in. All the sticky notes on his walls caught my attention as I sat on his couch.
"What's up Colby?" I asked looking at him on his desk. He looked like he was finishing up editing on his computer. "Hey I wanted to ask you something. And before you say anything, I want you to know how much I've liked you since we lived in Kansas..." He said walking over to sit next to me. Hearing those words made me turn red. "... I wanted to know if you would like to go on a date with sometime," Colby continued. He had a nervous look on his face as he asked me out. "Colby, I'd love to go out with you. I have felt the same way about you too." I finally replied.
*Colby's POV
Hearing her say that she would go on a date with me made me smile ear to ear. She gave me a hug as we got up to walk downstairs to meet the others. I stopped her right before the steps and asked her, "Do you want to tell the roommates? It's ok if you don't." "Sure! We can tell them and I'll handle Jake if he overreacts," She replied. I laughed as we held hands to the car. I took a picture and decided to post it on Instagram but I didn't tag her for privacy reasons.
