Chapter 12

*Jade's POV

I woke up in a hospital. I could tell right away because I was in and out of the hospital constantly when I was little, but that's a story for another time.

I looked around the room and saw stuffed animals and flowers everywhere. Just then the doctor came in. He told me that I was knocked unconscious because I had lost a lot of blood at one time and I didn't have enough food in my body to balance it out. The doctor mentioned that the roommates were there and he would tell them that I was awake. I nodded at I rested my head back down on the pillow.

Jake ran in and gave me a hug. I could tell he felt bad but it wasn't his fault and it wasn't Colby's either. The rest of the guys followed and came in the room. Everyone gave me a hug and greeted me with events that I missed.

"I'm really sorry, you guys. I just couldn't take it anymore. My mind got the best of me" I said starting to cry. "No. It's not your fault. It's not anyone's fault. We are here now and that's what matters." Colby replied. Everyone nodded and unison and smiled, "thank you" I said wiping the tears from my eyes. "Well the good news is that you get to go home tomorrow morning" Corey added while laughing. I laughed and replied "Yay!".

After a while, some started to go home. Corey, Devyn, and Aaron left for home already and Sam was about to leave with Katrina. Jake went to get food to eat since he refused to leave until morning when I leave. This left Colby and I by ourselves.

As soon as Jake left the room Colby gave me a kiss and held my hand. "I'm sorry. I should've been with you." Colby said. "No. It's ok. You were on your trip with Sam. That is more important." Colby looked at me like I was crazy, "Are you kidding me? No, my friends are more important than anything. You are more important than anything." I smiled and he gave me a kiss on the cheek.

Jake came back with food and gave us ours. We talked all night until we fell asleep. I woke up in the middle of the night to adjust my pillow and I looked over and watched the boys as they slept. I swear I'm not a creep.

My phone was going off with a bunch of Instagram notifications. "I swear if there are more threats" I thought to myself. To my surprise, they were comments and DM's wishing me a speedy recovery.

All the roommates had posted pictures of me and wrote notes encouraging me to stay strong. This made me so happy that I started crying. What did I do to deserve such great friends?

Jake woke panicking thinking that something was wrong. "I'm ok. Nothing is wrong, Jake" I said smiling. "Then why are you crying?" He asked sitting on my bed. "Because, I just saw everyone's post about me. Everyone had something nice to say. Thank you" I replied while wiping my tears. Jake gave me a hug, "That isn't even the start of it. There is a surprise for you when you get home". I looked at him confused as he went back to the chair next to Colby. He didn't say anything else.

The next day, the doctor came in the room to have me sign off on some papers before I leave. While I was doing that Jake went to the car to get a change of clothes for me. When he came back I looked at the clothes he gave me. Jake actually picked a good outfit. Just as I was thinking that he opened his mouth, "oh Devyn picked out the outfit." I shook my head and laughed as I walked to the restroom. "Never mind" I told my self.

Jake drove us home. Colby sat in the back with me to make sure I was ok. "Brennen is coming to our house for your surprise. He just got back from Australia and he wants to meet you." He said as he held my hand. "Ok. I've been wanting to meet him too" I replied smiling. "Your surprise doesn't start till 3 and it's 1:30 now. Guess you have to wait in your room" Jake added from the front. "It's ok, I'll stay with you" Colby said. I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek as we entered the driveway. Time to wait for 1hr in my room with Colby. I feel like I'm grounded with the best person ever.

- That's the end of chapter 12!! Sorry there hasn't been any updates recently. I had a bit of writers block. Anywayssss next chapter should be fun 😏
