Chapter 10

*Jade's POV

I heard the knocks and voices of Jake, Corey, and Devyn. By this time, I had already 3 cuts on each arm. I just sat in tears staring at my reflection. I was so selfish. Why am I here? Maybe I should just leave and make everyone stop worrying about me.

Those thoughts ran through my head as I tuned out the voices outside the door. I looked down at my arm with blood running down them. I was disappointed.
I couldn't take it anymore. Everything down was just crashing down on me.

Suddenly three more voices were added to the noise outside the door. I finally gave in and unlocked the door still sitting on the floor crying.

"We are here. It's okay" Jake came in trying to comfort me. I nodded my head in agreement and looked up. "I'm sorry" was all that came out of my mouth. That's all that would come out. Colby and Sam helped me up as Aaron and Devyn ran to get towels and bandages for my arms.

We walked to my room. Jake and Colby holding my hand like I was a little girl. All of the sudden I hit the floor and everything went dark.

*Jake's POV

We were walking Jade to her room but then she fell to the ground. I didn't know what happened, we tried to wake her up but she didn't move. I could help but break down in tears.

I got on my knee to elevate her head as Corey went to call 911. Her skin had gone pale and I didn't notice. How oblivious was I? I was the worst brother ever. I didn't even bother to notice that she was so skinny either. Was she not eating? How could I not notice any of this until it was too late?

I was pissed at Colby. This was all his fault. If he wouldn't have asked Jade out in the first place, we would not be in this situation. But I wasn't going to say anything until later. He is going to hear about it at the hospital.

*Sam's POV

I could tell Jake was pissed at Colby. I understood why but Colby didn't do this. While we were waiting for the ambulance, Katrina rushed over. She stayed with Jade, so that Jake could get some air. He was devastated. Those two might've fought a lot but he loved Jade more than anything in the world. She was there whenever he needed her, but he wasn't there when she need him.

The paramedics came and we explained what happened as the wheeled her out the ambulance. Jake rode with them to the hospital with Corey because he needed someone to be with him.

After they took her to the hospital, we slowly made our way downstairs to our cars. I noticed that Colby walked over to her room and just stood there. I told Katrina to ride with Devyn and Aaron and that I would meet her there. I walked over to Colby and he immediately broke down.

"This is my fault dude" Colby said crying, slowly sliding down on the wall. I sat next to him on the floor. "It's not your fault. This could've happened to anyone. But it's our job to make sure she gets through this." I replied to him. "Come on. Let's go meet everyone else at the hospital" I motioned for him to get up. He nodded and walked into her room to get her phone. "She might want this when she wakes up" Colby said as he walked out the door.

We got to the hospital and waited until her name was called. Everyone sat in silence. Jake's eyes were filled with tears as were everyone else's.
