Chapter 7

*Jade's POV

Corey, Sam, Jake, Colby and I all rode in Sam's car to the abandoned hospital. Aaron was working on music and Devyn decided to stay home. During the car ride Jake saw Colby's Instagram post and decided to ask about it.

"Uh Colby? Who is this holding your hand in the picture and why did Jade comment a heart?" Jake asked in a very serious tone and leaned over to make eye contact with Colby.

Sam and Corey both turned to look at us in the back. (We were at a red light) It was not a good idea for Jake to sit in the back with us. I sat quietly looking at the back of my phone case waiting for Colby to respond.

"Umm that's what I was going to tell you guys. Uh.." "Colby asked me out and I said yes." I interrupted. I looked at Colby and mouthed "sorry". Sam and Corey were smiling while Jake was still processing.  Finally Jake said something, "I don't really know what to say but I swear Colby, if something happens to Jade because of you, you are going to regret it. Especially since you know Jade's past." I looked up at Corey and he had a confused look on his face because he did not know about me cutting myself. I planned to tell him but not yet since I just moved in.

"Ok, yea I completely understand" Colby replied. The rest of the car ride was in awkward silence. Luckily, we were only 5 minutes away from the hospital.

After we parked, Colby handed everyone a mask and a flashlight. We found a open window so we all crawled in. I held Colby's hand as we searched through the rooms.

After about 30 min of searching the first floor, we found stairs that led to the basement. Sam was already going down the stairs before Corey reminded us of what could be down there.

"Wait Sam! We are in a hospital. What is located in a basement of a hospital?" Corey asked. I gasped when I realized what he was talking about. "See! Exactly! Jade understands. And didn't you say that this place was haunted?" Corey responded. He was terrified and so was I. Sam nodded about it being haunted. "I'm not going down there" Corey said laughing. I could tell that he was nervous. "I'm not either" I chimed in. Jake, Sam and Colby exchanged looks and agreed that we shouldn't split up.

We started to head towards the back of the hospital and decided to have a mini photo shoot for Instagram

*Time skip*

After we got home, we all went to bed. I decided to take a shower and change so I can watch Netflix.

While I was watching TV, I got a text from Colby

Jade:
what's up?
Colby:
Are you free tomorrow
night for our date?😊
Jade:
yea i'm free 😉
Colby:
Great! Can't wait!
Jade:
Me too
Colby:
Goodnight💕
Jade:
Night ❤️
