“I’ll have the usual.” I tell Mickey as she writes down my order.

“You’ll have it soon, I have a few people ahead.” She replies back and walks back to her counter.

I sit in my regular seat in the booth alone. I look around at all the people there are. Since it was late in the morning so there wasn’t that many people today. It was practically a vacant area.

I watch the old couple in the booth ahead of me, eating their faces. I’ve never seen any elder couples like them doing this kind of stuff before…and it kinda scares me.

Where might I be, you ask?

None other than Weenie Hut Jr’s.

It was like a place where only children, tweens, and senior citizens come to eat.  There’s hardly ever any average teenagers around here, I guess all the cool kids thought it was out of their league.

Everyday I’m here, I watch new people and how their lives are going since I basically have no life.  I stay quiet and observe everyone.  And day by day, I know everyone but they don’t know me.

Like Calum Hood. He’s been coming here for a week now always desperate for money. I don’t know why he really needs it but he would always come here failing at another attempt at a job.  It was like he was unlucky. We’ve never really talked but he’s noticed me a couple of times. But I know like half of his life.

Yes, I was that quiet nosy person but I’m not a stalker. A lot people actually piss me off when they talk to me, it brings out that sarcasm side of me.

Anyways, I’ve been coming here for 3 weeks now.  I basically know all the workers here already. I don’t know why but I felt like this was the place for me. I mean it’s a place where I can just relax alone and drink smoothies and all. Yet, there was another reason why I come here.

And that was Lola Henderson.

She was always here with her friends most of the week. They’d be laughing and having a good time on the other side of the bar not even giving a care in the world to even glance at me. It was like I was some ghost to them. I don’t know why she brings them here.

I’d be ‘reading’ my book and then peek up to look at Lola. She was just there so beautiful moving her hands around while talking. She would wear something different every day. I always heard her say fashion is understatement. Costume is the big key.  She’d wear wigs and high boots. She was just so badass. But what attracts me to her is her full confidence. She wouldn’t care what people would think of her outfit or anything. She’d speak loud and clear without a detect of shyness in her voice.  She’d just stand out of the crowd.

I look around to see she wasn’t here although my annoying neighbor, Ashton Irwin was walking in. I sink lower in my seat. Please don’t see me. Please don’t see me.

His eyes scan the room and find me. I mentally face palm myself as he walks towards me with a smile on his face.

“Morning Mikey!” he says as if I was his friend. In fact, I think he only has one friend and her name was Holly or Hailey I think.

“Morning.” I mumble.

“Mind if I sit with you?” he asks.

“Yes, actually I do mind. I want to be alone.” I say coldly hoping he gets the message and leaves.

“Ooh. Tough crowd.” He closes his mouth and still stands there. Then it just got quiet.

“What are you doing here?” I finally ask.

“Well I’m still waiting for my dance teacher and decided to stop by here since I saw you coming in here.” He replies back.

That’s right; he’s been taking for dance lessons for something huge next month.  I would see him on the patio next door practicing to some weird music. Oh gosh, he dances horrible. No wonder he’s taking them.

“You come around here?” I ask. I’ve never seen him here before.

“Yeah! Usually at night though for pizza.” He says.

“Oh.” Now I’m in the mood for pizza…but it’s too early. Who am I kidding? It's never too early for pizza.

“Well see you around!” he waves at me before leaving. I hope not.

Just as he leaves, Lola and her two friends enter.

I get out my book and pretend to read. When a few minutes pass by, I take the chance of lowering the book and studying her outfit.

Today she was wearing a loose mini dress and fishnet tights with her sunglasses on top of her neon blue wig. I’ve never seen her natural hair before. She’s always worn colorful wigs but I kind of love that about her. Since I thought natural hair colors were boring. That’s why I dye my hair. Which is the only thing about me that stands out. This week, it’s purple.

Finally Mickey arrives with my order of pancakes and bacons.

“Here you are.” She sets the plate down. “Sorry that took longer than I thought.”

“It’s fine.” I try not to glance at Lola.

Mickey catches my glimpse and follows my eyes. She turns back to me with a smirk.

“Y’know, one of these days you’re gonna have to talk to her so she knows you exist and not just mute.” She said as I roll my eyes. She can tell I have a huge crush on Lola in the days I’ve been here.

“Yeah, yeah.” I take a bite out of my pancakes.

“You’re such a weenie.” She says before heading over to the next table. Like I haven’t heard that one before.

I slowly eat the food in the large spare of time I have. As I’m almost done, I see Lola standing up to leave. I try not staring when she comes over to throw her tray into the trash. Her eyes flickered up towards me and looked at me for the first time. We locked eyes for a few seconds before she turns around and walks out the door

I’m still here, processing what just happened.

Lola Henderson just noticed me.

I’m bursting into party mode inside.

“H-Harold!” A whimper snapped me backed to reality to find the old couple slightly on top of each other  up ahead of me.

Oh gosh, are they gonna start public sex now?
