Chapter 1

Percy

Percy had just returned from the quest that Athena had assigned to him. The task was extremely hard and he had been away from Camp for almost 3 months. A few months back Athena had given permission to propose to Annabeth only if he finished the quest, so he had left. He grinned from ear to ear thinking of how his Wise Girl will be happy. The first person he met was Chiron. "Percy! my boy, how have you been? did you attain success in your quest?". the old centaur asked. "I've been better, Chiron. it's so good to see you! And yes, I finished the quest successfully. Do you know where Annabeth is?" Percy replied. Chiron's eyebrows furrowed. "She's probably in her cabin, Percy. I'm sorry." he said and trotted away. Percy was confused. Why had Chiron apologised to him?. But he was too happy so he brushed the thought away. He went to Athena's cabin. Just before he could knock on the door, it flew open and out strode a young boy if 17. He had dirty blonde hair and deep brown eyes with flecks of green, like the forest. The boy ran straight into Percy, knocking him down. "Hey! watch were your going dude! Hero of the Camp here!" the boy yelled. Percy stood up. who did this guy think he was? "Who are you?" Percy asked, annoyed. "Who am I?! You don't know me?! I'm the most POWERFUL demigod in the WORLD! My name is.....Ryan Bishop! Son of Posiedon!". Percy was shocked. He had a brother?! That too this stupid guy?!. When Percy came over his shock, Ryan was long gone. Percy stepped into the cabin and his eyes immediately found a certain blonde. "Hey, Annabeth! how are you?."he asked. She was obviously startled because she jumped. "Percy! your here! where were you for 3 months?!" She exclaimed. She sounded a bit panicked rather than happy. But Percy being the Seaweedbrain he was, brushed it off. He was planning on proposing to her in five days time. He talked to her for a few more minutes but he sensed that her mind was somewhere else so he went away to his cabin. Percy felt anger surge through him when he saw the state of his once beautifully abode. His bed was messy, the minatour horn lying in one corner, the beautiful fish fountain's water dried up. By the time he had cleaned up it was time for dinner. Percy sat at the table with his stupid brother who was staring at someone in the Athena table. the guy was nuisance!. Percy caught up with many of his friends. He saw Grover and Juniper, Leo and Calypso (A/N- LEO SAVED HER) Jason( A/N-HE HAD COME VISITING AT THAT TIME) Piper, hazel, frank and Nico and many others. Percy found it odd that none of them really talked with him and that they paid more attention to Ryan, so he decided to investigate. He went over to Katie Gardener and asked her when Ryan had come to camp. "Oh, The new guy. He came here four days back. He killed a hellhound on his way in and saved the camp. He was claimed on the second day." she replied. Percy thanked her for the information and went to his cabin. Hoping that his proposal to Annabeth wouldn't be disasterous.

FOUR DAYS LATER.

For the past four days Annabeth had been ignoring Percy and was spending more time with Ryan who was apparently not dyslexic. So, Annabeth was overjoyed that he could read the Iliad. Nevertheless, Percy had set up everything for dinner that day. He had setup the picnic blanket in the beach. Percy finally grabbed the red velvet box and made his way to the beach. When e went there he saw two people sitting on the beach so he jumped into a near by bush I avoid being seen. "Oh, Ryan I'm so happy! Percy never has time for me! all he does is go on quest and stuff. He can't even read! Imagine that!." The female voice said. With a jolt Percy realised that the voice belonged to his dear and beloved Wise Girl, Annabeth. "yes, babe. He's so dumb! I'm the real hero." Ryan said proudly. These stuff didn't really hurt Percy because he had never really care about the titles he got but what Annabeth said next stabbed him. "Yes, you are. I only used Percy. I didn't really live him. You're the real Hero, Ryan! I love you." And Percy's ex-girlfriend and his upstart brother began to kiss passionately. Tears of anger and sadness ran down percy's cheeks like a waterfalls. He had never cried, not once. Not when the minotour captured his mother, not when his friends died. But now he did. In his sadness he forgot that he was hiding and stepped on a dry twig. The kissing couple broke apart and Annabeth stared at Percy in horror. "Percy...please....let me explain...."annabeth started. And that's when Percy explode. "let you explain?! I thought that you were my one true love! And you cheated on me! I hate you!" Percy ran always from there and made it to his cabin where he packed all his belongings and wrote a small letter to Chiron, whilst Annabeth banged on his cabin door begging him to let her explain. But Percy turned a deaf ear. His heart was broken, broken into a million pieces. He opened the velvet box and stared at the ring inside. It was a delicate silver ring forged by Hephaestus himself. It had a white pearl in the centre surrounded by blue stones chosen from Poseidon's Underwater Castle. The words 'Together forever' were engraved inside. It hurt so much jut by looking at it. After a few minutes Annabeth had given up. Percy left the box on the table and left the cabin. He stood near Thalia's tree and looked at his home. Then he turned and walked away never to return again.
