He looked different. The way he moved, everything. His eyes were still the sea green they used to be but a lot duller. His hair was still the same too. But His shoulders were stiff. After i hugged him, I took him to the hall and made a batch of blue cookies. His eyes brightened up when he saw that. Now my son sat next to me, staring ahead. The bedroom door peeked open and a tiny head poked out. Atlanta, came out and first looked at me and then stared Percy. Shock waswritten across his face. "I have a sister?" he whispered. "Yes. She's 6. Her name's Atlanta" I said. Atlanta stared at me and I nodded. She came forward and climbed into his lap. "She's cute....like me" Percy said. "No way, honey. She's cuter than you." I said. Percy turmed to me with a fake hurt expression. "I'm hurt, mother. I'm hurt." He said putting a hand over his heart. I chuckled. Atlanta looked between us and told percy, "You look nice". Percy chuckled. He ruffled her hair. "So, Paul's at work?" He asked. I nodded. "Why did you leave, Percy?" I asked. "They didnt tell you. I wonder why". He said. "Grover visited. He said that you had gone for a quest and wouldnt be back for awhile." I said. Percy laughed. "They must have thought they would find me". "You still havent told me why you left, honey." I remined him. "I dont want to...." he sarted but then said, "Okay. So you know I went for a quest, right?".I nodded. "When I came back, there was a new camper at Camp. He's my half brother. His name is Ryan Bishop" he said the name with so much venom that I was shocked. "He first took my fame. But i didnt care about it. Then my friends. They started leaving me that hurt me but I had Annabeth. I was going to spend the rest of my life with the girl I loved, or so I thought." he paused to stop Atlanta from rummaging through his pockets. He shook his head and placed her on his right side. "Then what happened?" I promted. "I told Annabeth to come to the beach. When I went there she was there, but she was not alone. Ryan was there and they were talking about me. And Ryan asked her when she was going to dump me. And annabeth said that she was going to do it when i came there. She also said that she had used me to become famous. That i was a tool. And then you know what she did?" He asked turning to look at me. Unshed tears glistened in his eyes. "She kissed him. She cheated on me. She hurt me." he whispered the last part. Tears were now flowing freely down his face. Never in my life had I seen my son cry. I immideately hugged him. Percy had been through so much but he never showed his emotions out. This was the first time that i had ever seen him cry. Percy pulled back, wiping his eyes furiously. "thats when I ran. Coming here wasnt an action. I couldnt put you guys at risk So, I ran. And Chaos found me and recruited me as his army's commander. Apparently, Posiedon had also disowned me. Chaos promised not to bring me back here..." he went on to explain about his army. It seemed likea thing he would do. After a few minutes Atlanta asked him, "Why did you cry?". Percy smiled at her sadly and said, "Beacuse I was hurt". Atlanta put her hand on his cheek and said, "Dont worry, brother. I will take care of you". She hugged and Percy hugged her back. After a few minutes of talking, Percy stood up to leave. "I should be leaving. My scent must have gotten stronger. They might be here any moment." He said, referring to the monsters. I nodded and hugged him tightly. He was taller than me now. About 6'1. I smiled, thinking back to the days where he was so small. "Visit us soon. Atlanta wants to tell you something." I said. Percy got down to his knees but even that didnt match her height."Its my birthday this Friday. Will you come?." Atlanta said. "Of course, I'll come. If I'm not held up." he glanced up, sending me silent message, 'If I'm not a blood thirsty monster's food' He patted her head head and stood up. Just then I heard the jiggling of keys and the front door opened. "Hey, honey. I'm ho-" Paul stopped short when he saw Percy. Percy grinned at him."Percy. Percy. Its Percy!" he exclaimed and hugged Percy who hugged back. "I should really be going now, guys. Take Care. See ya on Friday." Percy said and went out of the door. I stepped out just in time to see him turn into mist near the staitcase. Luckily, Atlanta didnt say that. Life is good.
