Thank you so much for 1K reads guys! In this chapter, the part of me that I put into Grace is going to come out so watch out for that. School is about to start again, so I might not upload as frequently but writing is my passion, so this account will not be abandoned. I'm hopefully doing a writing class where my work will be performed so that's exciting! Dance is starting as well and I have two large dance shows and a ballet exam so that'll be a lot of work but I'm excited. Anyway, onto the chapter! Byeee *Clap**Clap*

The Halloween party blew over my head pretty easily, it was forgotten within a week. It still made me cringe thinking about it but I had other things on my mind, for example, the impending doom of an audition for this show called, 'Fireflies'. As of right now, I was hiding from Ben in my wardrobe, hoping I wouldn't have to go.

I love the performing aspect of acting, I just hate the journey of actually getting there. Auditions always made me sick to the stomach, the idea that someone I don't know is judging me on every single thing I do in that room from the vibrato of my voice to the hand movements I do. Yeah, it really isn't my kind of fun.

"Grace!" Ben yelled entering my room. I sunk deeper into the wardrobe hoping that my breathing wasn't heavy. "I know you can hear me! Come on we need to go!"

I stayed silent, I really did not want to go. There were dozens of other things I could be doing today; eating ice cream with Josh, shopping with Lizzy or playing with Jack Barky -  and auditioning was not one of those things.

"Fine," he huffed, "I'll just have to send Jack Barky to the kennel."

"You wouldn't dare!" I snarled, exiting the wardrobe just to bash into Ben's back.

He turned around a smirk on his face. He grabbed my shoulder and led me out of the room, my feet dragging on the floor. "I wouldn't, but now I know where you are we can go to this audition!"

I huffed crossing my arms, standing still. Ben merely shrugged as slung we over his shoulder and began walking across the living room.

"Josh! Help me!"

"Sorry Grace, you're on your own," he laughed turning his attention back to the tv which was playing some sort of animal documentary.

We passed the kitchen, where Lizzy was making two cups of coffee. "Lizzy? Please. Help me." She simply shook her head with a laugh, before walking over to Ben and giving him a peck on the lips. "My eyes!"

"Stop being so babyish. You're going to ace the audition and shine on that stage," she said as she passed us.

We reached the door, but Ben didn't put me down. "Ben put me down."

"Not risking it."

-.x.-

We pulled up into a car park, after what seemed like forever in the car. Ben had been lecturing me on why I shouldn't be scared but like most of his lectures in went in one ear and out of the other.

I got out of the car, swinging my dance bag over my shoulder. The studio where the auditions were being held blended well into New York. It had wide glass windows on the front, allowing the non-existent sun to stream in, with concrete pillars keeping the structure standing tall. Inside, it was bustling with life, girls strewn about the floor stretching or talking to their parents who all seemed to be mums. I silently prayed they weren't the crazy mums who would do anything for their daughters to get a part. The girls all seemed remarkably calm, but I guess they were all feeling smug, seeing as these were the callbacks.
